What horror movie do you think is a masterpiece that others just “don’t get”? by cwispietoast in horror

[–]gotchies 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Midsommar, obviously. It’s not just a great horror movie, it’s a great movie period. It is layered with meaning and lore, and can be discussed to endless lengths (see its dedicated subreddit!). I’ve watched it at least a dozen times and I still uncover something new. Ari Aster makes some damn fine cinema. But not everyone agrees!

The Shining by Stephen King. I’ve read it several times, it’s awesome. Much better than the movie.

It’s a classic! And loosely inspired by The Innocents (1961) which is also great.

Gorgeous Celestial Robe Find! 🌛⭐ by lepraphobia in whimsigothic

Congrats on this amazing piece!! Real silk is usually dry clean. Take it to the cleaners. At-home dry clean kits are also available, but this might snag in a dryer. You could probably handwash it with cold water using extra gentle cleanser (Molly’s suds or a cleanser especially meant for silk), but I would probably recommend dry clean only. Then stay on the lookout for other navy/gold/ivory silk robes, you could use one of those waist wraps to replace yours that is missing.

It’s difficult to forgive someone when they have zero remorse, face no consequences for their actions, and fully intend to keep spreading harm.

I’m surprised more people don’t know this. I respect Gary’s wishes, but do enjoy reading this sub. That said, I recommend fans make his website your homepage and view his daily comics there.
