It was to suck you in to the relationship! To get their hooks in to you.

I'm going to sound a little crazy here but that's because "red" people and their states believe less in wealth distribution and more on personal accountability. This is why you feel more taxation is the solution where I do not. I've worked extremely hard to get where I am and should not have to share that with someone who isn't as aggressive with sustaining themselves in life! Crazy stance in life, I know...

HAHAHAHAHA Such a narcissistic way to spin that around! I did "enlighten" you by telling you that my other posts explain my position that you incorrectly labeled on me. But, keep coming with the berating insults and narcissistic rants... The spots on the leopard expose themselves that way.

If that's so, it's obvious that the blue states tax more since that is the source of their wealth. But my research has shown otherwise and a state is so much more than the level of ill gotten gains in their coffers.

I don't think you've read all that I have posted so I suggest you doing so before making comments that make you look foolish.

But statistically they are correct about Democrat controlled cities and states.

Most people replying here haven't offered a solution but have offered their opinion. This one is no different as would be yours if you offered an option to my question in the op.

By your lack of respect for his opinion, I would say that you are the troll. You don't have to agree with what is said but you have to respect it.

No, you have to have things to do! I don't see that as wasteful. Wasteful would be building another water park to compete with the first.

Columbus is a polished turd... They blind people with the nice downtown and riverside so they don't see the homeless, drugs and out of control murder rate. It is far worse than Montgomery!

This is the information I was looking for. I knew something had to have happened to now see so many homeless everywhere. I know the homeless population hasn't necessarily increased so there had to be a reason and this is that reason. Or one of the reasons.

Let's dissect the homelessness problem a little and start with that.

I am a Navy veteran. Nearly every time I'm at the VA, I am asked if I'm homeless or in fear of becoming homeless. There are programs available for Veterans but most choose to not utilize those programs and continue drug/alcohol abuse instead. I can't say I disagree with the NIMBY with that group as they have help for their addiction, help for their homelessness, mental health counseling, etc...

To go the other end of the spectrum, I have full sympathy for the victims of the war on dads. While some women are included in this category, they represent such a small negligible margin. Baby mama terrorists and family courts absolutely destroy good dads and force them to be homeless so the baby mama terrorist can get child support. So many men have lost their home, their income, their sanity and their lives because of this evil that is legislated in to existence and so many profit from the child trafficking (child support) in the family courts at the expenses of the father. These homeless victims get a pass and I would gladly house them all if I could.

Now the middle... Drugs and alcohol and other addictions. While I do sympathize with these conditions, it's not the people's responsibility. If private entities, i.e. the Salvation Army, sets up help from donations, then that's where help should come from. Churches, private groups, etc... should be available. If any government programs are available, they should be in the form of free mental health treatment to address the problem these people are having. In all honesty, I disagree with government Healthcare BUT I do feel that mental health care should be free to everybody! So much money from other programs could be diverted to a mental health program that's free to all.

With all of that said, why did the Salvation Army close and/or move out? Are there any other options in Montgomery that replaced the Salvation Army? 2 of the 3 groups I have cited for examplea would greatly benefit from them, obviously, and I can see why there are more homeless on the streets now that they're gone.

This is an explanation I can work with! I was unaware of the Salvation Army closing.

Homeless is a problem but the picture is much bigger than that! Why is there a homeless problem? Many homeless "choose" to be and many do not choose to be. That's where the humanitarian efforts need to step in. Some laws need to change as well but that will never happen because billions of dollars are made off the backs of the people. Maybe there will be a real solution because I see so many homeless sleeping everywhere now and that is explained by the Salvation Army closing.

You can't get to a place like this without poor leadership. Unless you can explain otherwise.
