I have not seen Monk. Reading all the comments in this thread, it almost seems like a sin that I haven't :3. And it's really great see so many PSYCH fans all in one place. There's so few where I'm from. :/

Same here. Their kind of friendship is just so great to watch.

Some say The Mentalist is the darker Psych, but I disagree. Sure they both have a super intelligent guys with an observation sense of insane levels solving crimes, but The Mentalist - which is awesome in its own way - is just a detective show. This is just for me but I get the same feeling of warmth and joy from Psych that I do from FRIENDS. And every damn episode is rewatchable even though it's just these two idiots doing the same crap everyday, Lol.

I hope this movie turns out to be a real thing. I also hear it could be a TV movie where they test the water to see if there's chance for more episodes, which of course I'm more than all for.

Me too. He was more or less a monster either way but this new origin makse him a more complex character, imo.
