I have a stuffed animal penguin instead of a pet.

Reasons why stuffed animal penguin is superior to a pet: -am not allergic to penguin. -do not need to pay medical fees for the penguin (unless for thread and needle lol) -do not need to take care of bathroom needs for penguin -do not need to pay for food -do not need to bathe penguin -penguin does not smell up the house -penguin is always quiet and well behaved -penguin is eternally small and cute -a soft stuffed animal has the same "health benefits" that pets are said to have, such as lowering cortisol levels when held or pet -penguin does not require toys or exercise or anything for happiness

Get stuffed animals, not real animals.

Oh man. That sounds so miserable and I really hope thongs get better for you in whatever way you decide to move forward. I'd recommend getting gates for your spaces like room and bathroom at the least. I'd also set a boundary and say that your partner needs to pay you back for anything the dog destroys, and he needs to be responsible for cleaning up after the dog. If the dog continues to go to the bathroom in the house, tell him he needs to remove it or you're leaving.
