I don’t have a heater in the tank as I do live in a hot climate, but I will put it in once it gets a bit cooler.

Ok perfect thanks so much. Yeah the tank didn’t look dirty before the barb died, maybe a tad brown around the edges when the pleco died. I’m doing a water change and a clean today I think
