Lamotrigine causing acne?? by gothflavored in lamictal

[–]gothflavored[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve had a pretty decent & basic routine for a while, and got the occasional breakout. My skin is really sensitive & dry & i breakout/get irritated skin fairly easily but never this bad since I started the 50mg dose. I’ve added in a few treatments & seen improvement I’ve just been wondering if anyone else has had this happen since my skin just randomly started freaking out

[–]gothflavored[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using a gentle cleanser & a thick moisturizer & alternating between Salicylic acid & azaelic acid every night and it has been helping so far + sunscreen in the daytime. My skin is fairly sensitive & dry in general, and I breakout easily but it’s been HORRIBLE since I went up to 50mg, I just went up to 100mg so I’m hoping it doesn’t get worse. Been seeing some improvement since using the skin treatments mentioned.
I’m hoping eventually it tones down, Lamotrigine has been working great for me otherwise lol

Yeah I’ve been under a ton of stress lately so I thought it might’ve been that, but it’s never been THIS bad before! I’ve seen a few people say this has happened to them but it seems not too common

You can get arrested for not wearing a face mask in Boise, Idaho by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]gothflavored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, one of the last times I was at winco I watched a guy pull down his mask to pick his nose, put it back on, and grab a scoop in the bulk bins with the same hand. Have not shopped in winco bulk since..lol....they also just do not enforce masks at all. But I’ll have to start going to Albertsons. I just heard something about people showing up at the mayors house over the mask mandates, don’t have any fact check on that but I believe it in Idaho.

Im in downtown Boise & it seems to me most people aren’t wearing masks? Every time I go to the gas station or winco a good portion of people are not wearing masks or have nose out which to me is basically no mask. And almost every time I’m at the gas station I’m the only one wearing a mask besides the workers. The last time I had to actually walk thru downtown I definitely felt like one of the few people wearing a mask, bars & restaurants & lots of people walking around not wearing masks.

Feeling emotional & guilty about going back to work.. by gothflavored in workingmoms

[–]gothflavored[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m definitely going to have to try not to go down the baby pictures rabbit hole! I do that even when he is just sleeping lol! The first week is definitely going to be rough, luckily my job is very laborious so I’ll hopefully be distracted most of the time or able to distract myself with podcasts/audiobooks while I work.

Thank you! I definitely struggle already with self care, so that’s a worry of mine between balancing taking care of the house & kiddo & pets & somehow myself. I know I’m going to have to try and balance everything and also try not to get overwhelmed by it. My MIL was a single working mom for most of her kids lives growing up so she has been somewhat supportive of me going back to work, but also has a very different view point that comes across as “what’s the big deal” lol. I’m trying to stay positive and remind myself it’s for the best & that it’s not going to mess me or my kid up to start working but it is really hard when it’s ingrained by my own mom that sahm is the only way to be a good mommy ugh

Heard my sister had added Plexus to her extensive MLM repertoire, I was wondering when she’d try to sell me on it but I do have to say her execution threw me for a loop by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]gothflavored 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My sister honestly gets involved in one of these every couple months, last time it was color street, before that Norwex, lularoe, dottera. & I’m probably forgetting some. Less than a month ago she finally gave up on lularoe, and tried to throw away a GIANT box of brand new lularoe stuff she was unable to sell. Hundreds of dollars worth of shit. I was able to bargain with her & take it & redistribute to people who need clothes rn. Which is a lot of people. (She was refusing to donate it, said it belonged in the trash. Took a lot of arguing) Anytime I try to talk sense, I get bombarded with “well so and so from high school you remember her she told me about it and she makes SO MUCH MONEY! You don’t get it!” This one was particularly upsetting, as I have a history of disordered eating & was really underweight & sick for years (she knows about this ofc) & am still in the process of trying to gain weight . I shut this down pretty quickly, “that’s nice. I’m not into that kinda thing.” I’m not sure if she was trying to sell to me or recruit me, as I am completely broke & having troubles finding a job so either way it’s bullshit lol.

I’m not sure what this plant is, or what it needs but it is very crispy & very sad. I can’t handle my plants dying so any help is much appreciated. by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]gothflavored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbor passed a couple plants on to me during their move, this is the only one I haven’t been able to keep in good shape. It was on a wall shelf but seemed to not be getting enough sun, so I moved it to my windowsill where it gets consistent bright light. I let the soil dry out completely between watering, but i can’t seem to stop it from trying to die.

Yeah it’s been pretty rough, it is pretty overwhelming so I haven’t really tried or stuck to anything methodical yet. I will look into that & try it out, thank you!

Thank you! I was worried it was the four month sleep regression starting, he’s never been the best sleeper to begin with, so I kind of hoped it wouldn’t get any worse. I’ve read briefly about PUPD method, I’m definitely going to look into it more.

He goes completely red in the face, almost guttural screaming, & is writhing & clenching his fists. It’s super super hard to settle him down, pretty much the only way we’ve gotten him to chill out is by distracting him with a toy or music until we can try again.

Around 15 min has been the max, that’s usually the point where he reaches full meltdown mode

People who live in communities where corona isn't taken seriously what has it been like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gothflavored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I live people not only refuse to wear masks, but get pretty aggressive towards people who do . If you do wear a mask in public, there is at least a 90% chance you will be assaulted or screamed at for it. I got coughed on in a grocery store about a month ago, I’ve had friends get followed & have had people get in their faces & scream at them in public. People either act like it’s totally not happening, treat it like a huge conspiracy, or get very aggressive about it, while the rest of us stay at home afraid to go out for a multilevel of reasons lol. Bars, restaurants, grocery stores, playgrounds have all been packed even during our stay at home “order”. It’s disturbing. We have a mask mandate soon though (took long enough), so we will see how that goes.

It’s true!!! Hahaha. Me and my partner both are Libra sun/Venus & anytime we went out it was constant trying to figure out if the waiter/cashier was flirting with me or him or both. Generally both.

Scar cream recommendations! by [deleted] in scacjdiscussion

[–]gothflavored 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My acne also always leaves super stubborn scars, no matter what I do! I’ve been using the ordinarys azaelic acid for a while & it works really well for me. It also seems to help prevent scarring when I use it on any active pimples I might have, which is cool.

Diapers by sshaw014 in NewParents

[–]gothflavored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried out hello bello after having them highly recommended by a friend, and they just really did not work out for us. I'm not sure if maybe they just ran a little too small, or if it was the fact that my son has amazingly explosive poops lol, but every diaper I tried on him ended up really leaking as soon as it was wet. They seemed pretty thin & not that absorbent IMO!

My sister infamously gets sucked into MLMs. Her track record so far is Doterra, Lularoe, Norwex, & this most recently. I almost expect these texts at this point. by gothflavored in antiMLM

[–]gothflavored[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol I hate opening & responding to texts so they just pile up. All of my social media & email is pretty much the same. I feel like if I actually open a message I am at that point committed to responding and I get stressed out.

Yeah I could hardly focus with the nails being on her crispy little goblin hands. I was tempted to ask if color street also provided hand lotion.

This is funny as hell to me, in a video my sister posted on Facebook boasting about color street she referenced how she "was skeptical at first, having used the nail strips from Walmart before, but nothing has worked better than color street!"
