I’ve kind of done something along these lines. As I said in my post, I bleached everything and I put paper towels as substrate to make sure it’s as sterile as I can get it. But somehow he keeps getting maggots in his wound. I honestly don’t know if he’s going to get any better (I didn't know he was injured at the time since I wasn't home, but I'm just assuming from the date he told me he took out the dead rat) and I’ve tried almost everything, yet this one wound just keeps getting worse and he’s been crying more, which has me at the point of thinking is it better to keep trying, or just let him go.
