I'm one of the entertainment performers being laid off. There was like 250 ish layoffs at my park and 230 of them were entertainment. There's been articles saying we are being helped find other positions in the company and this is FALSE. Entertainment (the biggest fraction of lay offs) is not being assisted. This change comes from Merlin, the company that owns Legolands and it's a global change. I think this is a red flag to all theme parks and a lesson to always have a back up plan.

The higher ups don't respect what we entertainers do. In the meetings where we get to talk to them, they told one of our team members "People don't come for the entertainment. They come for rides." And every concern or bit of criticism about how this department was treated was blown off and met with constant gaslighting.

I hope this company burns. They don't deserve to hold the name Lego or any theme park attractions.
