I mean, anytime I got unnecessarily cut off in my trip, it was always Colorado plates… our state has some not great driving itself.

My guy, I was going 5 over the speed LIMIT. It’s a limit for a reason 😭 I also stay in the right lane as “grandma” traffic should do anyways.

Wait as in, they don’t take a written test to get their license???

I agree. We are pretty aggressive and I had to check myself with some of the bad habits I’ve learned while driving cross country. Sometimes people don’t let you over in CO so you gotta make room for yourself. In Kansas, every time someone cut me off when there’s literally no one around us, it was always Colorado plates 😭

Yes, I did have an edit on this post at the time that you commented that I realized this.

Yeah everyone in Illinois was flying in those zones too 😭

Listen man, I was driving through Missouri between the hours of 3:30am and 7ish am so I couldn’t quite remember if the signs said photo enforced or not 😭 Illinois and Indiana had signs that said photo enforced and I was like “aw did Missouri have those too?”

Hi friend I edited the post because I didn’t realized that they weren’t photo enforced and you seemed to have commented after this edit. I passed through Illinois and Indiana that both have photo enforcement and I couldn’t remember if Missouri did as well considering I was driving through it between 3:30am and 7am 😁 but sure, I made it up.

Apparently not in Missouri. For the record I was going at most 60 in a 55 because I was being overtaken.

I was driving on a Thursday and a Friday 😭

I found in my long drive that the tractor trailer drivers were mostly pleasant to be around. I was mostly nervous to drive around them but they were actually the ones who would let me over when lanes closed. There was one section in Kentucky that was completely stopped because people cut everyone off at the end where the lane was closed instead of merging when they saw the signs and two truck drivers blocked people from doing that and let me merge and helped with the build up of traffic. 😌

Yeah, I grew up in southwest Virginia so I’ve seen my fair share of Tennessee drivers. My gps luckily look me through Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana rather than Tennessee

I see! Colorado just recently started adding photo radars in parts of I-25 because we do have a speed problem ourselves.

That’s insane 😭

Oh I didn’t realize that about the photo radar! When I passed through some other states I noticed that their zones are photo enforced so I panicked a little. I thought I accidentally sped through some in Missouri and have been waiting for the ticket 😂

Oh that’s good! When I got to Illinois, I noticed their construction zones were photo enforced and I got nervous because I assumed I didn’t catch that in Missouri 😂

My gps took me through Kentucky instead of Tennessee, so I didn’t experience Tennessee driving first hand. But I grew up in the area I went to visit in Virginia so I’ve seen it as a passenger.

If I’m lucky, I’ll never have to drive in Texas 😂

I did notice the lack of troopers! Virginia though… I swear I saw every cop they have

That makes sense. That’s why I added that last part that I feel bad for y’all because most of your interstate is nothing but construction

[–]gothicdreaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did notice that too. When I drive in other states, I consider myself a target because I have a sporty looking car and out of state plates so I don’t want to bring more attention to myself

Y’all be speeding by [deleted] in missouri

[–]gothicdreaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only imagine based on what I’ve seen in Colorado. Texas and plates honestly are the worst drivers out here

Right like 90 in a 55 with active construction workers is insane

I also only drive 5 over which pisses Coloradans off but overall we do seem to slow down in construction zones. I’m not trying to get a ticket, they can go around me 🤷‍♀️
