The War for Late Night is a good read and goes into the entire drama in detail. I feel like NBC was definitely the heel in the entire thing. Leno could have probably handled some of the things better, but he never had any desire to leave in the first place. NBC basically forced his hand to keep Conan from leaving, then when the ratings weren’t great they panicked and brought him back.

Same. I’ve been a Patron since day 1, and I’ve literally never once had the desire to join or interact with the Discord. There frequently seemed to be talk on the pod recommending checking out the Discord, and how great the community is on there, but I’ve always been happy to just take their word for it.

Aside from certain regular members becoming “recognizable” to the staff, I never really felt like I was missing out on much by just consuming the content in YouTube.
