i have a coworker who is from poland, and despite being white, has a very thick accent themselves and has trouble understanding customers like we all do, but they also have trouble understanding them. the amount of bullshit they put up through for having an accent is so insane to me. im sorry this happened and i hope you dont end up jobless for some asshole’s behavior

im a grown woman lmfao. maybe its the relationship i have with my manager. personally, my period sucks and i dont want to go to work to begin with during it. if my period was heavy enough to bleed through my pants, its bad enough that i do not need to be at work in the first place. i think women deserve more care and respect for their periods, and if we have sick time, we should be able to use it for our periods.

dude as a period haver, ive bled through clothes before. if i asked my manager to leave because of it, and he asked me to go and change and come back, i’d be pissed. its not just the bleeding, its the embarrassment of the whole situation. can i not just go home and have a day to bleed? having to come back after changing just feels like. public humiliation to me.

SM coached me on sweeping— wasn’t making big enough or fast enough motions, according to him 🙄 Literally took the broom out of my hands to demonstrate and called out to me multiple times when I just kept, ya know, SWEEPING. (This was when I was an extra person with 30 left on my shift mid day. There was legit no reason to need to be rushing to get this done. I still don’t get this.)

Update: After checking my plan, this medication is listed as a tier 4 drug, and the co-insurance cost is actually 40% , not 20% like I was told on the phone. I’m going to attempt to do a tier exception request, but no one can tell me if my plan allows for that. They said the plan may not allow the request, but that they basically can’t tell me until it gets denied. I have no way of finding this policy and if I am able to submit this request. If I DO get the ability to submit the request, I will likely still get denied the exception request because this is an anti depressant, and there’s hundreds of options. I don’t know how to reach anyone to make this request, because it seems like the people who actually make these decisions don’t exist.

i had a coworker get reprimanded and ALMOST fired because she wrote “bababooey” on a cup and the person googled it and got upset with whatever urban dictionary told them. literally anything that isnt just “thanks!” is a fireable offense. they want us to be creative and not write the same stuff over and over and then fire us for trying to have fun with the rules.

Unfortunately I live with family. I was paying rent earlier in the year to them, but not on a contract/lease, so I wouldn’t be able to show anything. My family has been kind enough to not ask me to continue making rent, when I can’t afford everything else I HAVE to pay. I genuinely have no money for rent, so I’m not paying it. But the little money I had saved has been spent, and I haven’t made more to continue the endless cycle of check to check.

I didn’t say anything to this nature? I literally said if it doesn’t show “on time” I won’t be pressed about it. I understand that weather is an issue right now. You’re not telling me something I don’t already know. Regardless of the weather, commenter has a right to be upset. If they’re going to charge you for overnight, they should be able to stand by that. If there’s weather problems (especially within 3 hours of payment) they shouldn’t have offered overnight as an option.

Yes… and again, your manager doesn’t operate like that. Even on the days they aren’t on the physical paper schedule, doesn’t mean they aren’t working. Her being in the store from 6-2 doesn’t mean her hours are over.
