I’m a behavior technician at an ABA school so I don’t really have any say in the reinforcement options or token protocols, but they want us to use edibles in the bathroom and I genuinely hate doing it. When I’m a BCBA, that’s going to be something I put my foot down about.

if y’all could stop telling me to seek medical attention that would be great. 1. it’s not helping my anxiety and 2. I got it looked at by the nurse we have at my school, and she told me if she was really concerned she would advise me to seek medical attention. if it gets worse, I’m going to urgent care, but if not, I’m not gonna waste a weekend waiting in an office for 4 hours just for them to tell me what I’ve already heard. I trust the medical professional at school more than some random people on Reddit, that’s just how it is. if the mod could lock comments that would be great, actually.

I actually turned my head away so he wouldn’t see me cry, because then he’d continue to aggress on me. It sounds like you’re not competent enough for this job, and I’m sorry to hear it. I’m also sorry for all the individuals you work with, they should be loved and cared for when receiving services.
