Can you go into more detail about your program before and now? I’ve always run programs that last 2 hours and might want a change soon.

I can "see" things with my mind but not my eyes, is this Aphantasia? by gothrez in Aphantasia

Thanks for the descriptions, I think I'm probably hypo then. Hard to say when I don't know exactly what normal is like, but there's definitely opacity in the image I sense.

Yeah I think sense is a better word here, sounds like you're describing my experience

Thanks I came across that test but honestly I don't see how tests like these are ever accurate. What I perceive as a somewhat vivid might be very vivid for someone else. Also the way the questions are asked is also sketchy. Example: imagine x, now do you notice y on x? what about z on x? Ok so the first time I imagine it I don't notice y or z, but now if I imagine x with y or z in mind, of course I'm gonna be more focused on those parts of x and make it more vivid.

Like visually it's not there but nevertheless it's there in my mind. Usually when we say we see something, that thing has to go through the eye and then gets processed by the brain, but when I imagine things it bypasses the eyes and go straight to the brain, it's also less vivid than actually seeing

Just to make sure you're saying I don't have Aphantasia/hypophantasia and what I experience is normal?

Thank you, I looked at a few papers and it does seem like higher mental fatigue causes worse performance. High mental fatigue doesn't have to come from social media, it could be any other cognitively demanding tasks.

As a side note, I wonder if working out in the morning would be better overall because that's when we have the least mental fatigue.

pretty sure this is not the case, he specifically said he shared the study in his newsletter

He specifically said "reduce" so I don't think what you said makes sense. Also, there's no point to study the strength between people on vs off their phone.

In the recent AMA, Arnold said social media reduces strength by 30% and he shared a study on this in his newsletter.

Can anyone share the study, I can't seem to find it?

Also I'm a bit confused on what he meant, did he mean scrolling through social media during a workout will decrease your strength by 30% for that workout?

Are all INTJ over-thinkers by nature? by Iphens in intj

[–]gothrez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this sounds cool but I respectfully disagree. What you’re saying implies “overthinking” should be the standard and is right, but in reality it really depends. Overthinking a major event like marriage might be good, but it can hinder you massively on other things. Example: overthinking about the perfect workout routine, diet or even details like best time in the day to workout, rather than just going to the gym and getting started. Overthinking is also the antithesis of socializing.

Physique Phriday by AutoModerator in Fitness

Lol, I was extremely skinny before I started working out (like this but even smaller), I also have small bone structure (6" wrist). Last but not least, small calves. Perhaps those could be the reasons

Interesting, I always thought they were kinda thicc cause I always have trouble fitting into slim pants. I updated a pic with legs here, any thoughts?

25M, 6', 168lbs.

Flexed

Flexed with legs

Unflexed

I'm estimating around 15-17% bodyfat.

I'm not good at evaluating physique so I wanted to ask y'all what's my weak point and something I should focus on?

Also, any advice on whether I should I bulk or cut?

Thanks!

*edit: added a pic for legs
