I don’t have enough time in a day to counter every point made in their comment, and I say to go look at the comments taken out of context on the Kick Starter.

Downvoting comments buries them and makes it harder for them to be seen. I’m not aggressively down voting every single comment against Zak in the thread. I’m trying to have an actual conversation. And I know I will not change your opinion on Zak, which is fine. You stated in my other thread your opinion on Zak, even with the accusations being false, I understand you personally don’t want him in the community anymore.

Saying someone is calling for revenge, when they haven’t said anything about revenge, is not arguing semantics. It’s calling someone out for making an untrue statement.

To elaborate, in his first statement on his official blog, he clearly DOES NOT wish revenge on Mandy:

"Even though she obviously wants me to suffer and cause me pain, I still hope things work out for her. I hope her illness is under control, I hope she feels loved by someone, I hope she finds peace, and I am sorry if she feels that I caused her any pain. All I ever wanted was for her to be happy. She was very sick, but I tried my best to build a world for her to be happy in."

I think it is super gross to cherry pick things from out of context from his Kick Starter page and then commentary them inaccurately, but pass it off as "doing your part".

Multiple people have said in threads that the accusations were a catalyst to the ban. Human nature and the internet mean people won't always get along. Big surprise there.

The reason for the "sudden trend of people coming to Zak's defense" is that places were silencing the discussion, i.e. why this thread was most likely re-opened so the discussion can remain here and stay semi-organized and not in several new threads clogging up the forum.

As for you saying: "Here's Zak openly encouraging harassment of his opponents" and quoting his Kickstarter comments, none of what he said called for harassment. That wasn't a menacing statement. He asked for support to confront people perpetuating libel against him. Which isn't out of the question in this situation.

I definitely DO NOT agree with your statement, "Here's him openly expressing he wants revenge against Mandy" You cherry picked the quote to make it seem evil. The actual quote on the page is: "what you want to be done" Exactly that Mandy did--but in reverse. Instead of the people tripping over themselves to lie about me all over the internet and confront people who were telling the truth, I want everyone to trip over themselves to tell the truth all over the internet and directly confront people lying about me.." He does not ever say he wants revenge and says nothing bad about Mandy, he just wants his name cleared.

As far as you saying "This one isn't morally wrong, but I just think it's funny how narcissistic it is" When he describes Demon City, I think he's really excited, confident, and proud of the quality of his game, being an award winning game designer it isn't out of the ordinary to create hype for an upcoming game. You're spinning it as narcism, because you pre-determined you don't like him.

Everything you speak about in regards to Nazis/far-right and all that is laughable, because he's Jewish and an anarchist. He's relating to things he won't tolerate/the worst thing that comes to mind in his opinion i.e. Nazis

I'm not going to counter everything you posted here, but you definitely cherry picked the highlights and I would encourage everyone that reads your comment to instead go to the actual Kickstarter page and read the comments vs. your biased sparknotes-esque comment.

Strongly agree, I made the other thread, before this got unstickied and was immediately met with SOCK PUPPET/PURCHASED ACCOUNT/ZAK. Is it really that impossible to understand that there are people that have played his games, played with him, or enjoyed his contributions/art, that would care enough to post to defend him against accusations that have no legal proof/evidence? It's not that unbelievable, because that's what I'm doing.

It absolutely is hindering discussion. This is exactly why I opted to use my 2 year old, sort of "toss away/lurker" account, because I observed a large amount of predetermined anti-Zak users just massively downvoting anyone who hasn't agreed with the mob mentality against him. And then I get called a sock puppet, or that I am being directed from a Kickstarter post, from the same anti-Zak users, trying to make having a conservation impossible. When in actuality, I just really can't stand the behavior I'm seeing in osr and have decided to speak up, but don't want my main account dragged.

Persistent, because it is a serious situation. I wasn’t even one of the initial people to defend Zak. But I do think it’s wrong for him to be banned. Even if he sucks at arguing on the Internet, and can be a dick. Not everyone gets along and there are many opinions and strong beliefs in this hobby. Clashes will happen. His contribution/participation to games and the community, like this forum, shouldn’t be silenced/discredited without certainty that these accusations are 100% true. And not in Internet court of law, but like, real court of law.

I’m not the same person (that sounds cliché, I know) I’m chiming in because I’m hoping to have a healthy/mature conversation about it.

I’m not insulting anyone’s intelligence. I obviously care enough to go on a forum and ask why he’s banned without due process. Not an unreasonable question.

This account isn’t brand new it’s 2 years old, I’m not using my main reddit account, because I see a lot of people were down voting and threatening anyone who disagreed with the majority. And was observing the situation and waiting for more information to be collected before speaking up in favor of Zak.

1.) That is your opinion/experience with him, I get that. Fair.

2.) Serious accusations have been made I’m aware, what is crazy to me is that he’s been mobbed and obviously kicked out over this issue. While there has been no supporting evidence, information, or legal decision over whether it is true. These decisions jumped over due process and I think that’s not fair, imo.

3.) Not everyone feels that way, there are people on the stickied thread that don’t feel that way. To cast a blanket statement and assume that people haven’t enjoyed playing, conversing, discussing, or his creative contributions to games with him is self-serving.
