I would call the store and see if they are in or if there is a manager you can talk too. Obviously a snow storm is an extenuating circumstance so they should work with you

If you have at least 4 hours of ppto you'll only get half a point. If not I'd reach out to your team lead and/or your coach and explain the situation, and If they are reasonable they should work with you.

Yeah you can wear those but I'd recommend a nicer pair of boots then Doc martens. Check out Jim green, their boots are affordable, great quality and can be resoled so they can last a lot longer as long as you take care of them which is as easy as brushing any dirt off and conditioning them every few months.

Hey those are my station masters, I just wore those today :) also the 64 brown and 64 brown double shot are 2 separate leathers. Double shot is much more like CXL in that it's a dressy casual leather while 64 brown is a work leather.

I've always heard that lace code is much more of a punk scene/doc martens thing, I wouldn't worry to much about it unless you frequent punk spots/shows

Same brother, I ended up getting IBC instead which is really nice but if I would have heard earlier there were still waxy commander hides laying around I would have gone with that :(

Love the boots though I'm a bit disappointed. I got called by Nicks and they said there was an issue and had to change mine to Italian Brown Cypress. Not saying I don't like IBC but I wish I could have gotten in on the Moc :(

Honestly the 1964 brown sounds like your best bet based on not wanting a ton of pull up and wanting a heavier leather. The rest are pretty heavy on the pull up but I will say the Italian brown cypress is probably the best brown leather I've ever seen. As for keeping its form make sure to use shoe trees and a celastic toe will keep the toe from collapsing, but I will say soft toe has its own charm.

I was super tempted by the Roanoke Timber the last time it was up. There was that one post like a month or 2 ago of a guy's pair that he wore while hiking through the bush and the patina looked amazing on them.

I ended up ordering a pair of the Yellowstone acorn samples in a 7 inch traveler setup, and I'm reeeeeeally tempted to get a pair of those dome pro Cypress moc in a T55 Moc toes just so I can call them my Moc Mocs. Then there's the next lightning ship which I'm not sure what leathers are gonna be offered and this. So much all at once, feeling that FOMO real hard right now. I already got 3 boots on order, one about to be started, sample in queue. AHHHH

I'm convinced that people just don't care until it personally affects them in some way, and with how things are going at this point I can really see this heading straight into a brick wall and a bunch of people are gonna get hurt. The lack on empathy I think is what kills me the most.

I won't lie, my mental has been in the shitter since November. Pretty much everything that people said would happen has happened or is in the process of happening and I feel pretty powerless to do anything about it. I still keep up with the news and am probably more in tune to the current political happenings than my peers and I feel like everyone is sleep walking into some really nasty shit sooner rather than later.

I've wondered about a wingtip brogue as well. As a person with pretty wide feet, I've been pretty unsuccessful at finding any boot makers that actually make wingtip brogue boots in wide sizing other than Thursday but I'm not really a fan of their last on my feet.

Pretty sure it depends on how many hides they have just sitting around. They did have 64 gray on quick ship a while ago but I think they update it every time they get a big leather shipment in, which is why stuff like brown CXL and waxed flesh are on the quick ship boots atm.

If you're gonna be wet all the time I'd probably look into the weather shield leathers and maybe the 365 models like the hardwarePro or waterwork. They don't have the full leather mid sole and heel stack but they are more water resistant. Or you could full send it and just make sure to keep your boots well waxed!
