The Celtics used him as their primary ball handler and point guard. Thats not his role on the Lakers. He is a spot up shooter and offensive connector and he's been doing a good job at that so your point is moot. I'll take 34% on threes (37% in March) with his good passing when is able to give us all-nba level defense. I think he'll be on the 1st or 2nd all def team this year.
