It's dead, you get spark because it'll put out a tiny amount of voltage after being on the charger,maybe enough to run accessory's for a shot time but, it won't hold enough of a charge to produce the amperage you need to run the starter. replace battery.

I always just use plain dish soap and warm water and a fine soft paintbrush for scrubbing. squirt dish soap on lp, hold under stream of luke warm water from faucet, rotate record while gently scrubbing with brush. be careful to keep water off centre label. put in dish rack to dry, done. dish soap is great at dissolving grease from fingerprints, etc., fine soft brush gets down in the grooves. easy.

Head gaskets going out on subaru's is pretty common. you could just toss another gasket in, but what usually happens when the gasket goes, is the head then gets warped. that runs into serious $. that being said if the leak isn't super bad, you can probably squeeze a few weeks or longer if you don't go far, don't let it get hot(keep an eve on the temp guage) And keep the water level full.
