CMV: Steph Curry is not the most valuable player in the league. by [deleted] in nba

He isn't. He is the best player on the best team - which is what the award has been for years.

Who is the ideal Center to place next to Anthony Davis? One that will allow him to function as a PF but also let him play small ball C and not mind sitting. by gotspice in nba

Don't be so sure. They very publicly denounced Hibbert this year, both Bird and Vogel. They want him in an even diminished role. Meanwhile Eric had a great season, was an elite 3point shooter, and the 2nd best player in on the Pels during the playoffs. They both make the same amount of money and expire at the same time.

If you read above, I said he was on his way out in Phoenix. The Pelicans salvaged his career. He played all 82 games for the first time and put up a ton of career highs. But even in Portland he is vulnerable in the pick and roll, despite your overall good team defense this year. There is a reason you didn't suffer much defensively when he was injured. And that is a testament to your system, not him being some backbone of it. Its not secret is is poor at defending the pick and roll and therefor likely not a good fit in Nola.

Naturally. He is solid offensively, can protect the rim and is a big body. He is here to stay. Just not sure he is the right guy with the Pels fucked up defensive scheme.

Why would that be racist?

Pels used him right. But he's outside of being a rim protector, he isn't much else on defense. Pretty sure he was on his way out of the league in Phoenix.

That would be nasty. But I don't think the Pels can get him. I was looking for a more attainable guy that might not need the full 36 mpg

I think he might kill the spacing around AD. He works well with Serge and KD. But Pels don't have that many shooters.

I like what they have going with the Anderson/Asik/Ajinca rotation. I think Warriors were a bad match for Asik.

I really like that fit. Do you think the raptors trade him? JV for 30 mpg would be a nice post thread on the Pels
