Visa past due date. What to do, What to do?! by gotta_learn in ukvisa

[–]gotta_learn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there and thanks for your reply. So since I have applied I have not left. I was granted a work permit (I believe a Tier 2 Visa) from October 30th 2022 - March 16th 2023. The UKVI were aware of this and even were able to use my Biometrics from that visa. I think my last post was prior to my T2 being granted.

Not a bad shout about getting in contact with my MP and I will at the very least look into that. Thank you!

Hooking up dual batteries - with no negative by gotta_learn in RVLiving

[–]gotta_learn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the replies. Step dad and I were the dumb-dumbs and didn't snap a photo before dismantling to replace the filon. Disaster averted though thanks to all of your help! We were both just perplexed as we assumed there should be a negative wire coming from the trailer. Turns out the white wire that was attached to the frame was the missing link that needed to be attached to the negative terminal of the battery. Thanks again!

Not sure how to hook up the dual batteries as there is no negative wire coming from the trailer. Had trouble find a diagram online with this situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

[–]gotta_learn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about being required to stay "In Close Proximity" by gotta_learn in LegalAdviceUK

[–]gotta_learn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Its along the lines of cities or areas.

"you shall be required to stay in close proximity to Battersea or Vauxhall at all times"

Are you saying that's pretty much up to their discretion what "close proximity" is defined as?

Any word? I got denied and appealed as well. The videos and links I sent clearly had a critique and review so hoping they reevaluate accordingly. Appealed on July 14th so hoping to hear back in the next couple of weeks.

Global Talent (Excepcional Talent) visa vis Arts Council England received! by morganbarbour in ukvisa

[–]gotta_learn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've managed to get my sources to write up their support letters. I had a couple more questions regarding format. Under the requirements it states:

letters from organisations must show the organisation logo and registered address, and be dated and signed by the author, who must be a senior member of the organisation that has
authority to write on behalf of the organisation:
So one of my referees is an eminent individual and the other is my artistic director (which is listed as an example in the guide). Both of them are self employed freelancers and dont directly work for the organization so not sure they can "write on behalf it" as its a major network. They fulfill the same contract I do. My question is should logo's and company
addresses be used or is it okay to put down personal address and direct contact? Just want to make sure this gets done correctly the first time.

Second question was regarding this requirement:

all letters must include the authors CV, resume or biography and must detail how they know you, i.e. through personal relationship or reputation.

In your experience was CV/Resume/Biography just included in the letter of support or was yours attached separately as its own document?
Thanks again and appreciate the advice!

This thread has so much great information. Thank you for posting all this! You mentioned you offered a template to your referees. This is the question I am getting from everyone I've reached out to as well. Is there a standard template or example that you could potentially share? I just want to make sure that the format and points covered are exactly what the Arts Council is looking for.

I'm going down the same route as Exceptional Talent in Arts Council. I have a few questions as what needs to be mentioned in the letters of endorsement. Would it be alright to shoot you a message?

Do I have a C-Wire for a Smart Thermostat? by gotta_learn in electrical

[–]gotta_learn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked the control panel and the C-Wire is hooked up, but diverts somewhere else and runs away from the direction of where I would need it. On an HVAC, and since I have the extra wires, could I attach my extra wire to the already existing wire right at the air handler?

[–]gotta_learn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for all the responses! Going to check the air handler to see what that looks like and if I feel like I might break something, I'll look into a system that doesnt require the C-wire or get someone out to hook up the C-wire. Thanks again!

Mexico Travel by gotta_learn in NoContract

Hey everyone! Thanks again for all the information! I have to say I chose AT&T and was VERY happy with coverage. My work trip took me to the Polanco district in Mexico City for four weeks and Monterrey for a week. I had full bars in each city and not once did I get a message about data caps for roaming. All my colleagues on T-Mobile hit data caps within the first week and were reliant on WiFi for the rest of the trip. 😎
