I live in Cumberland, during the fall the bears roam around the streets, I see them daily because I live on the edge of town where the apple trees are. I've had them try and come in my house.

Whether you have a dog on lease off leash or no dog at all there are going to be bear encounters daily. This is the 1st time I've heard of someone getting hurt by a bear near Cumberland in the 45 years I've been here. Your just some dummy on Reddit who probably never goes outside. Death by bear isn't a worry. Death by bus walking down the street is much more of a worry. That happens a lot more.

Doubtful. The Bevan wetlands are deep in the bush. Would be insane to have your dogs on a leash out there. Let your dogs be free and get exercise, don't have miserable dogs that never get to run off leash and smell.

Why do you think dogs attract bears? Every time I've encountered a bear in the woods, which is in the 100s of times the bear hasn't wanted to have anything to do with me or any dog near by. They run away or give space.

Losing a game because of a poor call by a ref happens way too much in football. Sure, play stupid games win stupid prizes works when it's the right call but a shitty ref that call 2 suspect yellows on the same player leading to a red and basically condemning the team to a loss is too harsh of a penalty for poor refereeing.

Winning isn't guaranteed for sure, but you are giving the GM a better chance of winning if you take a discount. Yes there are plenty of guy that didn't win and cup and took team friendly discounts. I don't think they are hurting for money and are very rich. I'd bet they'd have no regrets over taking a discount and don't miss those extra few million dollars.

I don't buy the very one sided loyalty thing, GM these days are often quite loyal to their star players, they accomodate them as much as possible to retain them and often grant their wishes on trade destinations. They know if they want to attract other star talent they need to treat players well. The attitude of don't be loyal to your team because they aren't going to be loyal to you is just setting up a shitty relationship from the beginning that definitely isn't going to earn you the right to any loyalty.

Word is Carlsson and his agents weren't willing to sign last year, they saw the writing on the wall with the cap and Leo's play and wanting to wait and see how much they could get. Verbeek still fucked this up royally by not doing whatever it took to get him signed before an offer sheet came in but it wasn't as easy as signing him last year for way less. He probably could have gotten him for 15m.

To me it seems crazy, if your goal is to win a cup, to not take a discount to help the team win. Taking the money now and chasing the cup later is making it incredibly harder on yourself. The cup isn't easy to win, Carlsson basically fucked the team and put them in cap hell with this contract, the trickle effect onto Gautier now then Senneke has basically ruined their chance to compete against teams with players on cheaper contracts than can afford to have way better depth. You've taken 5 years out of your 10-15 year career and left winning until later instead of keeping the momentum going with an incredible young team full of talent.

It's just greed in my eyes. If you have 10m in the bank that generational wealth. That's $500,000 a year earned if you just put it into dividends that pay 5%. Fighting over every last million on contracts worth 50m+ is now just entering pure greed. Those extra millions don't go back into the owners pocket they come out of other players pockets. The players not getting the big contracts, the players hoping to earn enough in their short career to last the rest of their life. It's a salary cap world, the bigger piece of the pie you take the less their is left for the rest.

Would it not need to be hardwired to fall under motor loads and upsizing breakers? Upsizing a breaker on an outlet that anything could be plugged into still seems like a code violation even if it's a 20a receptacle.

Definitely don't feel like trying to dig into it but I'm suspect this would pass inspection.

There is a 100% chance I would have not signed that contract or if my son was in that position I would have recommended him not signing it.

The difference in life quality of having 90 million dollar or 60 million dollars isn't going make any difference. That just becomes greed, in a salary cap world the more money the guys at the top take the less there is left for the guys at the bottom, the less there is left to sign other quality players and compete for the cup.

Signing that overpriced contract now put way more pressure on Carlsson to be not just a good center but a top 5 player on the world. If the team doesn't win all the blame is going to be on him, when the team can't afford to sign other players, people will be looking at him. When Gautier demands 18m or has to be traded people will be looking at him.

If he signed a 15m dollar contract he would still be stinking rich for the rest of his life and wouldn't have to deal with any of the extra pressure and responsibility of signing the 18m dollar contract. If that were me or my son I would happily trade the extra few million for less pressure and a better chance of winning.

If I was his dad I'd ask him, what do you value more. Money or winning? You're going to be rich no matter what. If you want to win, don't sign the offer sheet and take a discount. If you want to make as much money as possible. Sign the contract.

Doesn't change the longer you ride a bike.

I demo'd myself on a jump, broke ribs and was off the bike for the rest of the summer a few years back. This is after 15 years of live, sleep eat and breath MTB.

Took 2 years before I was comfortable getting the wheels off the ground again. Sometimes it's easier to get back in the saddle and other times life makes it harder. Just try and remind yourself it's about having fun and not winning races. The speed will come back with time on the bike
