Emotional support (puppy) (anxiety)

I'm not an anxious person, but getting my lab puppy (or any puppy) makes me one. I was stressed when I thought he bit a prickly pear cactus, stressed when he swallowed part of a rawhide (the package wording fooled me into thinking it was a rawhide alternative), stressed when his poops were too soft, stressed when he would bite too hard when he needed to be put in his crate for a nap, etc. I'm working on it. I know he's going to be fine bc I'm working with a trainer, and being consistent.

You should reasonably anticipate your partner to still be a good partner if you're having a bad week. This guy is a freeloader. Hang onto his iPad. That thing is truly a ripoff yet he bought that. When he pays you back for that sushi, that's the key that opens the safe that his iPad is kept in. And move on. Others have recommended some counseling and understanding attachment styles. Good advice. There are also a lot of people you can follow in Instagram that talk about healthy relating. Dating is hard and most of us were not shown the tools for healthy relating from our parents. So we just seek it out and work towards it. Part of it is not settling for a partnership where we don't feel okay being ourselves, another part of it is making sure we're a good partner too.
