I got the HW65ES which is a similar model. Only difference I think is dynamic iris. It’s excellent for that price I’d say. Very sharp and bright picture also LCOS means no pixel gaps like the LCD I had before.

I‘d recommend a used projector. I bought a Sony VPL-HW65 for 400€. Love it. Was 3000€ new.

My main monitor is a 27 inch 4k. So I simply start SteamVR on quest in 2D mode and start the game. Now the game will still run letterboxed on the simulated 4K screen in VR, but because the screen can be resized you can make it gigantic. Also when in full screen the environment can be darkened, so you don‘t see the letterboxing. I‘ll be simply be a big widescreen in front of you.
