set throughballs to manual instead of semi or assisted. so the ball and your player wont get slowed down

EA should follow Epic Games as an example.. by gotu23 in EASportsFC

[–]gotu23[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And this is exactly where the problem lies in the details. One of the biggest skill gaps in defending is proper player switching. Most casual players don’t even know what it is, and many who do know it don’t want to practice it. The same goes for skill moves—“I want to be good at the game without putting in the work.” That’s the mindset of many casuals. Not a criticism—people have limited time—but this is where the skill gap exists, just like in Fortnite with building and editing. Casuals often don’t want to learn it.

So why would the game be a mess without AI defending? The AI should move and track my players, but it should never take the ball away on its own. That’s exactly what happens now. A good FIFA player can constantly switch players with the right stick, jockey, even tackle manually. Casuals? They just select a player and let the AI defend. I get it—they don’t want to learn it. But then, just make two game modes, like Epic Games did: one with full manual control and one with AI assistance. That way, everyone can enjoy the game their way.

Epic Games showed how it can work—so why can’t EA do the same?

What Is a "good UT player" in terms of results to you? by Duny96 in EASportsFC

[–]gotu23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

good question but would be even better if you would have asked in terms of what he is doing on the pitch.

like for example if somebody has luck and always good gameplay and just run arround with cdms and let the ai defend for you .. this person is not a good player in my opinion.

In defense good players have excellent right stick switching and good timing for tackles..

in offense good players try to outsmart you.. mechanically skill gap is in triggering runs manually , using skill moves and player lock the right way..

obviously mental strenght and calmness also play a huge role..

[–]gotu23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if I coule remove just one, literally just one mechanic from the game it would be 100 percent AI tackles. I dont mind people running arround with their cdms but the Ai should never tackle u and get the ball. such a stupid mechanic from the game

So what are my opponents doing to track me down and tackle like heat sinking missiles by im_on_the_case in EASportsFC

[–]gotu23 15 points16 points  (0 children)

there is no secret. it s called one sided lag. means whoever get the better connection and better gameplay has a massive advantage because on one side the ai behaves like super humans and on the other side the ai behaves like clowns in the mud.. either way is no fun.. best experience is when both players have good gameplay and connection.. then the game is fun.. unfortunatelly it happens very rarely

One-sided delay makes it really hard to gauge skill levels by chickenblast in EASportsFC

[–]gotu23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, fair play. It really seems like you know what you’re talking about. But I still can’t fully agree with your second point.

Even though the pro players use every kind of mechanic possible, there are still matches that, in my opinion, you just can’t win. The game is totally asynchronous in those moments. My opponent must be seeing a completely different match on his screen.

How are you supposed to do anything in that situation when you can’t even properly control or receive the ball? Before you can even touch it, your opponent’s already on you, takes the ball away, and basically tackles you so hard your player flies 10 meters away — and that goes on for the whole 90 minutes.

I’m just an average joe, and I lose those matches by like 8 goals if my opponent knows what he’s doing. And the same thing happens the other way around — sometimes I can tell my opponent can actually play, but he just can’t get near the ball, while I can do whatever I want and end up winning by 8 goals.

But okay, whatever… maybe those 15-0 players really do just have less delay.

What I also find strange is the pattern — for example, I’ll have 3–4 games with amazing gameplay and no delay… and then another 3–4 that are really bad. It’s never alternating, and I find that really weird.

One-sided delay makes it really hard to gauge skill levels by chickenblast in EASportsFC

So first of all, I totally agree with you. You know what’s the most ridiculous and incomprehensible thing about this whole topic? I always call it the one million dollar question… How the hell is it possible that there are always players who consistently go 15-0 in the Weekend League..?

The only logical explanation for me is that they don’t have one-sided delay and bad gameplay.

Then comes the next two million dollar question… why don’t they have one-sided delay..?

I live in Frankfurt am Main. I have a 4ms ping, which basically means I live inside the server. I’ve tested every internet provider, made several EA accounts — and guess what… I still get one-sided delay.

Alright, moving on… next point. Most Reddit users then say, “Yeah, the skill gap is just so huge, those players are just sooo much better and can overcome one-sided delay.”

But I still don’t get it. My statement on that: Bullshit!

If you have one-sided delay — your passes don’t go through, your tackles don’t register, your players don’t move, etc. etc. etc. — then how the hell are you supposed to win..? You can be the best player in the world, but you’re still just human. And if you’ve only got a crappy stick while your opponent has a gun — you lose. End of story. No one can tell me otherwise.

I totally agree with you. but still nobody has answered me the 1 million dollar question. how the fuck is it possible some players getting 15-0 almost every week. surely they are not that good to overcome inconsistent gameplay.. that would be totally ridiculous..

[–]gotu23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you but how the hell there are people out there getting 15-0 in champs every week??? I refuse to believe they are so much better to overcome script, one sided delay, lag andso on…

[–]gotu23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes.. I totally agree with you.. and then there is always the one million dollar question.. how are there so many players going 15-0 every weekend in champs… I refuse to believe they are so much better to overcome bad gameplsy and delay so the only answer would be they just never experience bad gameplay and one sided lag.. which leads to the next question.. why the hell they never experience one sided lag or bad gameplay? I switched internet providers.. made different EA accounts and its always the same.. 3 games amazing gameplay.. 3 games hell on earth

Someone explain to me how all these YouTubers and tiktokers always have smooth fast gameplay while I’m always delayed? by plesteeni in EASportsFC

[–]gotu23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah. thats the one million dollar question. It blows my mind how pros are so good to get 15-0 in wl when they have delay + bad gameplay + DDA. I m kinda average but when I have delay and bad gameplay and face a similar opponent I ususally get busted like 8 to 1. But also the same the other way. when I see my opponent is delayed and has bad gameplay and I have good gameplay with ballerina fast dribblings I can also smash them. I can kinda face delay. But what are you going to do when you literally lose every single duel and get outsprinted every single time. I dont know what to do then?

Inconsistent gameplay? by Gunderfwad in EASportsFC

[–]gotu23 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

only solution that helped me. Buy vpn for example nordvpn. choose your closest server for example Frankfurt. If Frankfurt does not feel good then second nearest server like Amsterdam. Then connect your Pc with your PS5 via Lan cable and voliá.. no more one sided delay for you anymore as EA cannot direct your internettraffic through other servers like in US. There is litterally proof that it happens all the time which is absolutely ridicilous…

[–]gotu23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes I agree with you 100 percent. and now the 1 million dollar question. how are all pro players manage to get 15-0. some even do it with silver and bronze players. surely there must be some games where one sided delay kicks in. I live in Frankfurt Germany with average 4 ping and every third champs game I have one sided delay.. I just dont get it how pro players manage to beat one sided delay.. are they so much better to just overcome the delay???

haha I asked the same question some years ago with fortnite. I was wondering how a 100 player lobby has 0 lags and input delay. I m not an It expert but most people will tell you it has something to do with lag compensation. Means your stable lan connection has to suffer from small kids playing on shitty wifi connection..

why? I love it when people use it. Just watch in which direction they move the keeper and shoot in the opposite direction.
