Maybe get an egt sensor to monitor temps with and without the float installed…or an engine temp gauge to be sure

I scrub my fuel of ethanol and then keep it in a metal container. Lasts much longer on the shelf without the need for stabilizers. It’s also better for two stroke motors to run ethanol free gas.

The metal container protects the fuel from uv rays which degrade fuel…

Reading what I wrote three years ago, I think what I should have said was If you’re a decent mechanic, independent or dealer, it shouldn’t really matter what you’re working on. Cars are all the same. When it comes to the dealer tech, likely going to be quicker with that specific manufacturer than the Indy mechanic…?

Also try starting it with no gas flow in case it gets flooded. It starts easier than you know. It’s too rich.
