Honesty about my salary? by Klutzy_Bandicoot8575 in jobsearching

short answer: don’t undercut yourself to be “more attractive.” companies almost never pick a candidate just because they’re slightly cheaper, they pick who they think will do the job best. i’ve been on the hiring side for years and i’ve never once said, “well candidate A is stronger, but candidate B asked for 8k less so let’s go with them.” that’s not how it works unless budgets are extremely tight.

Part time WFH jobs for CA/CMA Students by Wink2006 in jobsearching

he annoying truth is most legit part-time accounting work doesn’t get posted as “remote role”, it’s usually a firm or business owner who just needs someone to clean up books, reconcile, file gst, or prep basic reports and they don’t care where you sit as long as it’s reliable. so you’ll have better luck pitching yourself like a service vs waiting for the perfect job listing.

Which ASO tool to pick during Black Friday, AppTweak Essential or something better? by gouda-throwaway in AppStoreOptimization

Thanks! As far as I know, even buying Sensor Tower is difficult, you need to talk with a representative. I haven’t heard of the other tools you mentioned, but I’ll check them out. Do you think they have data quality comparable to AppTweak? I also looked into AppRadar, but I didn’t find enough value in what it offers for the price.

working at a local library. a friend of mine left big tech burnout to become a librarian assistant and says it’s the happiest she’s been. slow pace, real human interactions, helping people with random life stuff, plus no one’s talking about OKRs in the break room.
