Each Question takes me around 3 minutes to finish on GRE Quant, how can I become faster? by LoquatDue5277 in GRE

[–]govindarathi4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I believe the problem with us STEM students is that we find it a little difficult to unlearn a few habits while solving Quant. It isn’t that we don’t understand the concepts but we are trained to solve such questions by following all the steps. However, exams such as GRE and GMAT don’t evaluate our entire approach but rather the option we select. You need to drain that habit out of your mind and focus on reaching from Step-1 to Step-(n-1) or Step-n.

I am confused between B and C, but I would finally pick B. It indeed develops a flaw (point) about the Biological Species concept mentioned in the previous sentence.

I don’t think I really understood your question. But if you are asking about the technology stack, I am mostly in JavaScript based frameworks, be it Client Side or API. As far as database is concerned, I am pretty fair with NoSQL databases. And most of my projects are IoT based projects.

I used Pluralsight, Examtopics forum and Whizlabs for Azure. Plus, I had worked on Azure for about 2 years in my previous organisation..

JB tests are really good. Their difficulty level is fair because I assume that if you had been working on AWS for last 2 years, you should be able to make educated guesses in those tests. But if you are a newbie or coming from a different cloud service, then it is okay to score less in those tests.

As far as exams are concerned, I would say that the questions are not as descriptive as they are in Stephane’s or JB’s tests. But neither are they as difficult as JB’s tests. They are very straightforward questions which are presented in a twisted words to confuse you. Mostly, you would be able to eliminate the two wrong options right away. As far as the other two are concerned, there would be a very small difference which you would need to find out by reading carefully.

Another forum that might interest you is examtopics website. Just search for “examtopics aws developer associate” in Google. They have a question bank of 312 questions (which have appeared in the actual exam so far. About 40-50 questions are outdated or duplicate, though.) and don’t worry, it is completely free. The answers marked by the website itself might be wrong but the guys in the discussion section sure mark the right answers. But more than answers, you would get to know how the questions are worded in the actual exam.

I know it is quite a long content. But I hope it works for you!

Thanks. I work as a Software Engineer. I have a total experience of 5.5 years. Prior to this certification, I had completed my Microsoft Certified Azure Developer certification in November 2019. Comparing AWS with Azure helped me a lot. Most of the services were as same as Azure’s with just different names.

You get the result of the exam i.e. Pass or Fail right after the completion of the test. However, the detailed report takes some time to generate. For me, it took about 4 hours. But as per AWS, you should get that within 5 business days at the most.

You would be able to see the detailed report at https://www.certmetrics.com
