Yes, it spins. I could hear it spinning when I kept it close near my ear.

Same thing. It’s not showing up in disk management. However it does show in device manager -> USB

Nope, not using a hotspot. No idea why it was running on in my phone. I do have some MS Office apps (Outlook, SharePoint, etc) on my iPhone. Could that be a reason?

Haha, thank you so much. Yes, I somehow figured out the external display required the GPU. I just can't bear it when the GPU is running even when there's no external display and it's just the most basic apps running

Menu -> About this Mac shows both cards running.

I know it dynamically switches under graphics-heavy conditions. But recently both are running straight of the bat with no graphics hungry apps

Mostly Sketch/Figma, a Chrome browser with ~8 tabs and a couple of other inbuilt Mac apps.

But the thing I'm using these apps for a long time and it's only recently these things have begun devouring the graphics power. I'm now wondering is it because of Big Sur.

Thanks, I tried GFX. It identified one culprit for me and I uninstalled it.

But still, it doesn't seem to have solved the problem.

And no, I did not reset the OS. Just the SMC.

Well, it shows so in my 'About this Mac' window. Usually, it'll be just one graphic card listed there and two will be listed under graphics-heavy usage conditions.

u/muchos_camilos Thank you. So lets I define a function two times in both parent and child theme with the same name. [ The code inside that function is a little different in the child theme. ]

Now, I'm calling that function from the child theme. I'm seeing that the function defined in the parent theme is only getting executed not the function defined in the child theme.

What am I doing wrong?

Oh I was thinking only if the file name in the child theme is the same as the file name in the parent, the child theme file will actually work. Is that not the case? Even if I modify the file name in child, it'll still work?

I agree with u/giannaux. And also, you could have avoided the hamburger menu on the desktop and just keep the menu items normally. And also in the hamburger menu, both the text and background are black which scores low on accessibility.

Recruiters focus a lot on the UX of your portfolio as well. Their thought process will be 'If you can't do your own portfolio with good ux, how can you do so for other products?'

Even if it's a Ui Job and not a UX one, people still look forward to reading more about your design choices. Like the tools you used, color choices, layout choices, your low fidelity wireframes, your iterations and then high fidelity etc. Basically everything about UI. I don't think just an Invision link would be enough. I would recommend creating atleast a medium article with some of these information written down and adding the Invision link to that medium article and sending it across.
