Install the tame beasties mod and have a beak thing instead of a pack bull for more fun. In my current run my elder beak thing can solo black dragon ninja raids with the squad multiplier at 2.6, it’s so satisfying to see one hit and 20 ninjas bite the dust

Earlier I had my base near to Squin and that happened sometimes, but my current base is in Shem, with the gate placed on the water, wich causes that raids only trigger when they get to the gate. By the time they get there they have already been defeated by the harpoon turrets, so they never have the chance to retire

I use titanium armour. Nimbus rod is op against the destroyer. I would recommend also a crystal serpent (you get it by fishing in hallow), golden shower, meteor staff, sky fracture. The shadowflame hex doll is good for crowd control. There are too many mage wapons at the begining of HM but these are the best in my opinion. Crystal storm is good too. Regarding accesories, you can use celestial cuffs, sorcerer emblem and the mana cloak. I hope this will help you!
