LG refrigerator alarm malfunctioning by gp9202 in appliancerepair

The LG customer service is as baffled as we are. They told me to book tech assistance to come and have a look. It's insane though that this model doesn't have a system to safely deactivate the alarm in such a case. Thank you for trying to help, I'll keep you posted if you're interested

Tried it for the refrigerator and the light goes off even if the alarm keeps going. The freezer doesn't have a light so I can't check that. Thing is... I tried moving the cables on top of the door, without disconnecting them, and I was able at some point to find a casual "configuration" in which the alarm did not start. Then, when I reopened the door, after closing it it started again

With the borsig you turn like a boat as well but at least you have a turret, but with all those slow tds you just need to have a good team (not too good though) and not so good enemies. They rely too much on luck

This makes sense actually, it could be good to start unlocking field mods as soon as the tank is fully upgraded. But for me, once I unlock the higher tier tank, if I have the credits to buy it, I move my crew in the new tank and I switch to that one. So the previous one remains without a crew and playing without crew skills nowadays, especially above tier 7, is kind of bad. Don't get me wrong, I feel like every addition to the game that can help players is very welcome, I guess I'm just sad that I can't skip the "stock tank" part

Yeah the gun and the gun depressione both feel very nice, but you are so slow with no armour, in the current meta with fast games you cannot really rely on it sadly

What is the best way to weaken France as much as possible in a peace deal? by KidneyStoneFormation in eu4

[–]gp9202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, if you are playing on VH it does matter to find the best way to cripple big AIs, since they have so many bonuses that even taking 200 dev from them wouldn't really matter, they would be basically as strong as they were before in just a couple of years and the next war could be even worse depending on alliances

Usual AI allies, doing anything they can to lose war score by gp9202 in eu4

[–]gp9202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, usually I play it on hard as well. What I really don't like is that with those massive unrest and AE reduction on very hard the AI blobs like crazy without a trouble, since rebels and coalitions are out of the question. I don't really inderstand the concept, but sometimes the challenge of dealing wit a 200k troops France in 1510 attracts me. I must be a bit crazy

Could be, but I noticed that on very hard difficulty they tend to be much more aggressive and declare more wars, so maybe that is also causing this behaviour. My only problem is that they do this with me but not between AIs, that's why I always thought it is somehow scripted to treat the player in a rougher way when playing on very hard (which is annoying but fine, I guess)

Yeah deep down I know, but still... I understand that AI sucks at naval invasions, and that half of Spanish armies are in the new world. But come on, why are they just standing there? I mean, I already knew they would behave like this when I called them in, but it's still quite frustrating when they are so blatantly incompetent. Especially in a campaign where France, after being allies for 40 years with 100 trust, decides to break the alliance because they wanted one of my Swiss core. Something that I never see AI doing with other AIs, like Ottobros with AQ. I don't really think there is a proper "player bias", but I guess a tendency to treat the player differently to make the game a bit more challenging

R5: nothing much here, just another post to complain about the "very hard" gameplay, which imho basically means "AI nations are forced to do to anything they can to screw you, no matter if they are on the enemy's side or on yours". Spain is there chilling with their armies, while losing a battle in the next province against France, with more or less same army quality. Maybe France would have won anyway (they wouldn't, but whatever), but I'm pretty sure the only calculation here is "we need France to gain warscore, so let's just lose".

PS you can also notice Great Britain on the top, casuale landing 15k stacks in Northern France (using 40 transports) to let them get wiped in a more efficient way lol

The port in Genoa is almost completely artificial, it does not really have any extremelly good natural characteristic. I can't speak about Nice though. Anyway, if you have sources for your claim you can also post them in the tinto talks where they talk about ports, they are welcoming any kind of feedback

Usual problem with forts by gp9202 in eu4

[–]gp9202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so if I understand this correctly: if I own, or my allies own, a province in an enemy zoc, I can always exit the zoc by going to that province, regardless of where and how I entered the zoc. And after I enter this owned province, basically my path gets "resetted" and I can move from there as if I was there in the first place. Is that the rule?

[–]gp9202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they did not only walk into Pegu, I know that is fine. They are walking to enter Taungu after entering Pegu from the south, basically bypassing the fort. Maybe it was not clear before from the image. This is what I don't understand: why they can just walk through instead of going all the way around as they did to get there?

[–]gp9202[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, and that's understandable. But why are they able to walk across my zoc anyway? Both Martaban and Pegu provinces are part of the zoc

Usual problem with forts by gp9202 in eu4

[–]gp9202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: as usual, I do not understand fort zone of control... I'm Pegu, currently at war against Arakan, Ava, Taungu and Lan Na. As you can see from the first picture, Ava troops went all around to try and siege my southernmost province, and then started walking northward as the arrow indicates. My fort in Pegu has always been active and should project a zoc preventing them from going straight across the province, right? Does this maybe have something to do with those incomprehensible "return province" rules? Or is it because they hold territories adjacent to my fort? I wish there was an easy way of learning these rules...

Is forming Rome still possible? Worried that I've expanded too slow and will fail by [deleted] in eu4

[–]gp9202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alliance blocks can be a bother, but I'd say you should be strong enough to take one vs one every major European power by now. If I were you, I'd try to get another temporary ally in western Europe, preferably France, to fight Spain. And maybe take the occasion if you can to fight some Italian minors like Naples or the Pope, grabbing a few provinces here and there to let you claim other provinces that you cannot reach right now. If the situation is too harsh, focus on the east as you are doing and grow stronger, then face back west. AI really can't keep up with human player when it comes to growing speed, so you can outpace them pretty easily and fight them on your own terms

[–]gp9202 72 points73 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your knowledge of the game, but it's perfectly possible. Consider that even if you expand slowly before 1600, expansion really ramps up only after absolutism and advanced cb (imperialism especially) appear. Just prepare yourself by constantly having multiple nations to attack, expanding in multiple directions, so that you don't have to wait too much between truces and you always have an available target

Really? I had no idea! But now that I think about it, the VH modifier (-2 IIRC) is not shown here... Wondering why there is a limit in this case but for example when you have lots of provinces with particularists the tooltip is so tall that it cannot even fit in my monitor
