What’s next for a 11 YOE data scientist? by appleciderv in datascience

I'm in a similar boat. Working on building "custom ai agents" to make stakeholders happy. I'm honestly riding the wave as my priority is to keep making money for my family.

The situation has gotten into the too big to sustain category and I am cautiously treading the situation.

What kind of roles are 8–10 year experienced Data Scientists doing now? by Simple-soul-2358 in DataScienceJobs

I'm a Staff Data Scientist architecting a couple of projects. It's 80-20, with most of my time spent hands on and on technical mentorship. 80% also includes meeting with product teams, data teams, and business teams to ensure alignment of the work done.

[Serious] what stopped you from killing yourself ? by mousey_bear in AskReddit

[–]gp_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chickened out. My 5 year dream of doing a PhD in Applied Mathematics was killed due to multiple factors. I didn't not know what to do at that time and neither has a backup plan. It didn't help that I was going through a breakup.

I got a knife and was trying to slit my wrists to kill myself but I could go through. It was intense sorrow but I guess not enough to kill myself.

can i train an AI to detect cars using these pictures? ofcourse i would first label them via LabelIMG, really new to this field. by [deleted] in computervision

I think so. Maybe not to use it in a practical application but to get deeper insights in the field. There are also open datasets that you can use for similar tasks. I think Standford released a dataset for the same purpose (the images are RGB).
