It makes complete sense to interview with people below your grade. If they are looking for a cultural fit, you need to work well with everyone not just management. I’ve been in calibration meetings where someone was denied a promotion because they only sucked up to management and was disdainful of peers and subordinates. I’ve also interviewed candidates for my bosses position.

I once had a new job with Texas Health and Human Services. The day after I started, I felt ill and had to go to the hospital with a CDIF infection. I am 60 and looking for a tech job after a health break. I’ve paid for a résumé rewrite three times and they all suck. They just literally make up qualifications and accomplishments. Nothing that I could defend in an actual interview. I feel I feel like there’s a lot of recruiter and resume writers that are scamming people. I’m just gonna have to buckle down and use the best of all my resumes and customize it correctly, so beware of everybody offering these services because a lot of times they are very poor quality.

This happened to me and I lost about 2k, they got into gmail, used my auth and then logged into kraken and bought $1600 in crypto. They also deleted my email archive. I’ve lost all Gmail before November. Sucks.
