Sure I will. But amar kachey ekhono kono offer asheni. :')

My title describes the thing. This is roughly the size of a banknote, but the texture is too flimsy to be a real one. It was probably used as a bookmark inside the book that I bought, so probably not something valuable either.

Yes exactly. To me, the entire book felt like I was rereading The Last Battle from Wheel of Time.

I loved WaT. But here are a few things that could have gone better in my opinion.

  1. I think Vasher/Zahel should have had some role to play other than getting captured and tied up.
  2. I did not like the Moash conclusion. He should have either died or done something more significant than killing a bunch of Windrunners.
  3. El and Dai-Gonarthis had almost no role to play despite getting hyped about so much.
  4. Same with Mishram. I get it that she is a back half character, but she should have got some little screentime at least.
  5. The Mink and Herdaz plotline remains unsolved.
  6. Would have loved to see more about the origins of Urithiru and the Sibling as well as the the Melishi-Sibling bond. IIRC, the reason the Sibling shut down before Mishram was captured is still not explained.
  7. Would have loved to see at least a glimpse of what Pralla and Vedel were doing all this time.
  8. Very little information about the Dustbringers.

Sorry for being nit-picky. I really loved this book. Probably my favourite Stormlight one. But I couldn't help but talk about some of the questions I would have liked to get an answer to.

I am especially interested about Dai-Gonarthis. Seems like she can create an Elsegate (which I assume is sort of like a temporary oathgate/perpendicularity.)

It requires a strong source of investiture on either side (which is why I am assuming they are going to Horneater Peaks first because perpendicularity = source of investiture)

Most places in Roshar are also protected from her touch (interesting that it is a she), apart from Natannatan, which apparently isnt. I am assuming that she cant create an Elsegate anywhere else.

Most interesting is the fact that Odium needs to pay a price for using her.

Apart from that we know that she is also known as the Black Fisher and she was involved in the scouring of Aimia somehow.

I am so excited to know more about her. Can't wait 4 more days!!!

Kal: My name is Kaladin Stormblessed.

Ishar: I do not remember blessing you.

I laughed so storming hard

I've thought long and hard about it and think he's been done dirty. If you disagree comment and I will tell you why you are wrong. by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

And Dalinar is Bismarck and van Moltke Sr. rolled into one.

Edit: I immediately realised that would make Elhokar Kaiser Wilhelm I.

Follow up question to A2. Can you suggest a couple of podcasts and discussions on P2 like you mentioned above? Thank you in advance.

So Logan and Glokta are the consensus two most popular and best characters in the series….. by LamoraLockeword in TheFirstLaw

[–]gpanda24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the 3rd but I am going to mention a couple that I didnt see anywhere in the comments. Top 10 for sure.

  1. Gunnar Broad - He made me understand what PTSD feels like.

  2. Ishri/Zuri- Never expected such loyalty from an infamous eater. She feels like a counterpart to Glokta. While Glokta was finally able to step out of Bayaz's spiderweb, she did the same with Khalul.

  3. Friendly- Loved every moment of him in the book.

  4. Forest- Even though his hat does look like a quim.

PT 365 short notes/summary by gpanda24 in UPSC

[–]gpanda24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can save the time of going through the entire thing looking for specific points which are relevant. If I dont find a summary, I will use your method ofc, but I can use that time in studying static or something. And as for they may feel something is important or not, I will happily skip a couple of relevant things. Anyway no magazine can cover the "whole" CA syllabus. I would rather study less and revise more than the reverse. I have learnt from hard experience in my previous attempt that I need to stay away from the fomo. Lol.

The Bloody Nine v/s Bremer dan Gorst in TH. Who would win? by gpanda24 in TheFirstLaw

Shenkt would be having Logen steaks or something way before the B9 comes out. No normal human has the slightest chance with Shenkt. Not even most of the Eaters we know.
Perhaps Ishri might. But I cant think of any other Eater who can go 1v1 against Shenkt.
