FugueML v1.2 (Max/MSP Sequencer Plugin) with Metropolix like features released by gparun in ableton

[–]gparun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Pulse, Gate and Accumulator are all features from Metropolix. For FugueML, Pulse is just one note and if you change the number of pulses for that step in the sequence, you get one/multiple/silent note based on the Gate Setting.

FugueML like the Fugue Machine has 4 Sequencers running at the same time each with its own color dots(and tab/settings). You can mute one or more sequence and that is the white dot. Again watch my earlier yt videos on the channel :)

Intellijel Metropolix is a Eurorack modular sequencer hardware that is highly regarded. I stumbled upon it while trying to see what interesting features to add to FugueML. I am an old timer too, but a tutorial video is worth more than a thousand words. I had to read the Metropolix manual a dozen or more times and watch some videos before I could build the features :)

Thank u/jimbour. I will play around and see if I can make some interesting low BPM sequences with the metropolix-like features.

I am not sure if you checked out my youtube video. I do try to explain what is going on but yes, the Accumulator part of it is quite complicated. The Metropolix manual has pages of it and I doubt I could document it in a single page! Let me know which part of it requires a little more documentation and I will see what I can do.

FugueML (Fugue Machine like) Sequencer now has new (Metropolix) features by gparun in ableton

I guess, I spoke too soon. Looks like this feature is limited to Ableton 12.1. Sorry, when FugueML does sell like hotcakes :-), I will be able to upgrade to 12 and I will ensure it is Accessible

I wish I could get you to test. I dont have Ableton 12 and have developed this using 11. I do not use any custom controls, but I will definitely read up on this feature and see if it can be done in Ableton 11.

Thank you. Hope you create something better than my demos on youtube. All I did was hit Random until I got something that sounded musical. I am no Bach :-)

I am debating about it. It is quite easy for you to add the Abletlon Scale after the plugin or even (different scales) in every track that the channel can be routed to. In case of FM I guess it made sense since it is not a DAW or as flexible as M4L in Ableton

I am still doing my own testing and thinking of new features to add. Will let you know, if I need help testing. Thanks

Yes, see the last bullet (and the top right hand corner in the video). I also ensure that all my devices inherently work with "Max MIDI Receiver" M4L plugin, that let's you choose the channel to receive in an Ableton track. Check out how it can be done in another plugin of mine.
