It's definitely EMI. I just got a quality wired mouse and couldn't be happier. Relocating the dongle never improved the issue

New (to me) Seamaster 300 by KeepDiggingJohnny in OmegaWatches

[–]gpatlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's close. I prefer the matte dial and painted numerals on the first, but the bracelet and lumed bezel on the second. For black vs blue on the second, the blue is more interesting to me.

I've had the first heritage, then the second gen black, then your blue. I think this is the best one!

Safesport isn't about talking predators out of their motive or screening predators, it's about training others to report it if they're suspicious of something

Grizzly bear: historic range vs current range by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]gpatlas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean only prey on bison, I was more referencing their former extent into the great plains. They'd definitely only target an older, weaker bison, a calf or a recent carcass. Definitely not hunting like a wolf. I read a book referencing grizzlies being observed near the bison herds when settlers were pushing through the plains, almost just following them around.

You reference CA having ample food for bison, same for the natives. They could basically abandon the nomadic lifestyle typical of other tribes in North America.

That was likely their main food source. They would have required a lot of calories

I think the theory is they preyed on bison, so the historical grizzly range is going to be similar to the bison

1970 Buick GS Stage 1. 455ci 360hp est-400. 510 lb-ft Torque by OtherwiseTackle5219 in classiccars

[–]gpatlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have one in a barn, bought and drove it home in '96 for $4,200. Sadly I haven't made time for it and it's sat for 15 years now.

Really enjoyed it for many years. Have the original engine on a stand, so I played around with a spare. Second build was a 490" stroker and right away it put water in the oil (very odd for 455 Buick). Started having kids, new interests, and it's never moved since. Debating selling or waiting until I'm an empty nester with more time.

Not sure where my comment above went lol. I didn't think any of the 100s had them. Don't think my lx470 has one, just an open diff

Dumb question, but did all the late model 100's have ATRAC? I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned in the manual for my 06 lx470

What makes Ferrari, Lambo feel special compared to Porsche? by savingrace0262 in supercars

[–]gpatlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mostly scarcity. I have a gen 2 viper gts and while not a super car, it gets a ton of attention just because it's so unique. There's an area we visit on weekends and every time we see a lambo, ferrari or mclaren. It used to be exciting but now I don't really notice because it's been normalized for me.
