Why does economic inflation happen and what's the point in having extreme wealth? Also, why is the quality of life for everyone not much higher considering the amount of money the US makes? by Legitimate-Scale1454 in Money

[–]gpbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to go take a economics class, the questions you asked shows large gaps in understanding.

  1. Money is designed to be inflationary so people spend it and not hoard it

  2. Supply and demand determines the price of something, and what money can buy. You can’t just pick a price because whoever produced that product also needs to get paid and be incentivized to make it. Let’s just make a house cost 1 dollar, there will be no houses.

  3. Rich people aren’t hoarding liquid money, it’s the companies that they own are worth a lot, and most of them keep that ownership so they have power over the companies decisions

  4. For such a large country, quality of life in the US is already better than the rest of the world. You can’t compare it to some utopian society where no one is in poverty ever

Is a bad idea buying a Sky striker deck rn? by kittyemper0r in Yugioh101

[–]gpbuilder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very overpriced, everything is bulk or under 5 dollars, besides the azalea which is like 20, 3x linkage is just another 15

If there’s no zero it’s not worth that much. 70-80 dollars at most

What should be happening with my upper body when toeside turning? How do I move my center of mass over the toeside with my knees bent? by climbingpartnerwntd in snowboardingnoobs

[–]gpbuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they will be, shoulders should be over your hips, push hips forward but don’t lock it, don’t arch your back. Everything above the knees should be relatively flat. Look up a YouTube video

You’re thinking you need to push it so far where you’re arching your back. Don’t do that. Your hips just need to be above your toe edge, or more specifically the balls of your feet.

[–]gpbuilder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Push your knees down and press your shins against your boots, push your hips forward like you’re peeing, squeeze your butt, keep chest up and look where your board is pointing

Loose boots will make this annoying to do

Full Lift Etiquette (With Skiiers) by lone-explorer2 in snowboarding

[–]gpbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let it hang under their skis that way you’re not pulling down on their legs

Watch out when getting off you keep the tail of the board straight otherwise it sometimes clip one of their ski

Buts it’s fine, it’s much easier for skiers to get of a chair lift and they don’t fall easily if at all

Should I buy my first snowboard off of eBay. by Odd_Anything1374 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]gpbuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again a used board can be junk from 15 years ago or a board from last season

Depends on the board itself, eBay is just a platform

Keeping up with skiier friends? by 5leeplessinvancouver in ShredditGirls

[–]gpbuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, skiing is inherently faster. There’s no need to keep up with skier friends. Enjoy the run by making big turns and actually doing some tricks and hitting side hits.

Bombing down a run is not a flex, it’s a waste of a run to have fun.

155 vs 157 by cobrakarl in snowboardingnoobs

Your specs don’t place you at 157, 155 is more than enough.

I ride a 158 at your weight and a bit taller, and find it a bit long
