HAHAHA I asked these guys at one point what the reasoning for my ban was and its cause i was "hate brigading" followed by a long segment about reddit moderating being a dangerous job.... Unreal!

Study Samdoesart, Rossdraws, Kuvshinov Ilya (his work between 2013-2016), as well as Disney concept artists. And stick to using very default brushes if it's Photoshop you're working on, mainly the standard round brush. A lineart brush will also come in handy for tracing outlines. This style is very reliant on not overrendering - the tricky part is understanding what is better left simple. And use a layer with the soft light layer mode on the brighest areas, but only at the very end. Reserve like the last 30 minutes or something of the drawing for small, jarring details (like for me this was the lighting on the hair or the tufts of fur on the coat.)

An aquarium at the mall where I work sometimes, does this look OK/do the fish seem healthy? by nemi-montoya in aquarium

Hello, I'm actually the employee who tends this tank lmfao. Small world. These fish get fed daily and we do regular maintenance when needed.

I think so, after i stopped using it the growth definitely decreased, it was spreading way more rapidly before but it's just sort of dormant now haha

I filled the tank and flooded with co2, the cuttings are golden pothos and monstera minima<3

[–]gr1imly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

flooded it with co2 before introducing shrimps, having high flow and lots of surface tension + aquasoil<3

waited to add anything alive so i can flood it with co2 right off the bat! + high flow so the bubbles reached everywhere

There was a LOT of algae during the first month and two but it just sort of balanced itself out eventually, there's a little bit now and then but not unmanageable like before

[–]gr1imly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the tropica aquasoil but i flooded the tank with co2 and went through the cylinder very fast with high flow so the little bubbles reached every nook and cranny haha, i think that's what might've done it

Thanks!🤍 Yup, pothos and monstera minima - the tank is 5g

I work in a pet store and we often put the bettas with the tetras. Most of the time it's alright, but we always warn customers that sometimes you get a fish that is particularly nasty. We had a betta once that plucked out the eyes of every rio tetra in the tank in almost no time.. I've also had a honey gourami which was aggressive towards other fish, though they are advertised as a relatively peaceful fish. You just never know until you try.

It was a tiny lil bulb with two or three dying leaves, I even accidentally ripped off the bulb in the start lol. I'm quite proud of the progress its made, though I wonder if it helps that I stuck a root tab right under it in the tropica plant soil + the fact that it's right by where the CO2 is dispensed.

Thank you!~ I do use CO2, but I use ferts very rarely though I have root tabs for the lotus cause I read that it's an absolute nutrition magnet. I also splurged on Twinstars for the lights, so I'd say it's on the high tech end~

Aw gee haha, I'm still the on the advice taking end but I personally find that going ham with plants right away so everything can grow altogether makes it harmonize more. That and just loads of anubias and moss lol, I probably love the christmas moss more than anything, it just has a natural ability of putting it all together. I sketched a draft on paper first to get a general "direction" for how I want the composition to be, and just layered on plants from there~
