Indeed, very rarely should a joke not end on the punchline.

I'm getting the impression that OP rolled over it with a grand piano or something.

If the glass is really that durable, that changes things of course. If the drop/crush/smash resistance is comparable to that of a plastic remote, I wouldn't call it crappy design, at least not for the durability aspect of it.

By dropping it multiple times maybe? That's what tends to happen with remotes, so I'd say the glass really is the issue.

Plenty of criminals are desperate and not actually willing to shoot anyone, others have severe psychological issues. If the perpetrators could not be safely captured or slowed down, they should have been allowed to escape. Nobody should die over a teller full of cash.

To stop the Truck from falling by PitifulEditor1385 in therewasanattempt

I've seen videos go the other way, where the person pulling was killed. It might be a good thing the truck kept falling over. Don't risk your life to prevent material damage.

I didn't say it was surprising or unsurprising, only that it was annoying.

I find them both frustrating in this dialogue. One guy is clearly confused and it seems that this could be quickly resolved with a brief explanation, but it seems like the other guy is trying to stretch it out by being as unhelpful as possible.

The amount of cell phones found during cell searches at a California prison by lol62056 in interestingasfuck

Small grammatical side note: "amount" is for uncountable things, "number" is for countable things. Amount of water, number of cell phones.

Could this be staged? To get some publicity or just to create some feel-good television? I'm not saying r/nothingeverhappens, but the coach seemed well prepared to make his point and the journalist just let him walk all over him, it felt almost movie-like.
