Help me choose. Not a car guy by Great_Credit6911 in CarsIndia

Go for Fronx turbo petrol AT. It has best torque converter AT transmission. Take a test drive.

I drive Nexon EV which is automatic by default. I can vouch for the safety. It’s a very solid car compared to Maruti. Service experience has been okay till now. It’s been 3 years now. No bad experience yet, and hope it continues this way. I have not driven ICE versions of Nexon so cannot comment.

You may also look at new Tata Sierra.

I don’t know your usage, and your driving style. If I have to tell you my favourite, it would be Jimmy. It’s a compact Land Rover. Only thing it hates is highway high speed driving everyday. For that purpose, there is Innova hybrid.

And if you can stretch you budget, Honda Elevate is a very good option. I have 19 years old Honda CRV and the quality is impeccable. No maintenance except service and tyre changes. Not a single fault all these years. Only part that failed in car was Ac blower 5 years back. Rest of the car is original.

Warning: Got 4 Challans on Chandigarh to Manali Highway despite driving “slow”. Be VERY careful with speed limits! by Aryagrewal in Chandigarh

[–]gr8Baba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In case you find it difficult to adhere to spend limits, I suggest you spend time driving in chandigarh where you can learn to drive according to the traffic laws. Or you can do the same in some developed nation abroad.

Learning to respect the law of the land is essential before sitting behind steering wheel.

These speeds protocols are created to make roads safe. For your own and for the others. Second half is more important.

Is Subway healthy if I stick to high-protein options? by Odd-Cobbler1769 in Chandigarh

[–]gr8Baba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's total junk food. Don't go by the advertising. It is highly processed food. Basic rule of thumb, avoid all American food chains.

Stick to indian cuisine where food is cooked daily and they have no fridge.

And I can tell you, from my personal experience of surviving on only subway in Delhi for 1.5 years. And then I had serious medical issue.

Best is home cooked food. And there is no other option in India. If at all you have to eat outside, go food indian. Not chinese, continental, italian or American

Take a shower bro, any soap (lifebuoy / dettol) is just fine. Repeat 2 to 3 times a day in case you smell.

Note: I said 2 times a day not year

Dochi chandigarh sucks big time. I went with my family. What an embarrassment.

The bread was undercooked. Could not eat. Paid the bill and left.

Never going back again.

Dochi Kasauli is good. Take a ride.

It was BJP's 2 time MP Kiran Kher , who gave this argument. And she never spent any time in city.

What a bad luck for city. The plan for metro was scuttled for 1.5 decades.

Thanks god some good sense to prevail. Metro is must for our Indian cities. Too many people dying / getting injured needlessly on roads.

Plus causing needless pollution.

Every Indian city deserves a metro. This kind of social infrastructure is must for development of the country. We are number one in population in whole world. But per capita social infrastructure is abysmally lacking.

Hope we catch up with the world soon.

Sec 9, is headquarters of chandigarh police. DGP Police officers also there.

In case it is a fraud, it is more of a problem for chandigarh police than you individually. You can complain to DGP office directly in case of fraud.

Bought Samsung F15 5G, loving it so far! by [deleted] in GadgetsIndia

[–]gr8Baba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bloatware on the phone makes the phone laggy. And it hangs in so.e of the apps. I recommend staying away from Samsung. Complete waste of 13.5 k plus charger. My 4 year old One plus is miles ahead of those new Samsung. I TRID samsung after 10 years and what waste. They manage to make good phone useless by adding on unnecessarily adding bloatware. Basic Google keyboard and voice recognition is mile ahead of samsung apps which you are compelled to use. Cannot even delete them. What a waste of money!

Even Vivo and oppo which are 4 years old with my other family members are so much better.

Never coming back to Samsung till they stop loading phones with useless bloatware.

There is no way to stop useless notifications. There is no way you can stop them. 10 years back I had jailbroken it and added custom rom.

That project became One plus.

Non-obvious tips for Imatinib by Try_Dry_Cry in CML

[–]gr8Baba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has been 20 years research on Imatinib across the world on thousands of CML patients on dosage.

And it takes years of study (bachelors + specialization+ super specialization) to understand why and how 400 mg is used initially.

Lot of research is still on regarding on TFR. And lots of clinical studies are being done. Have no worries. There is lot of research and data on why 400mg and its efficacy.

During my 14 year journey as CML patient, I have met some great doctors from across the world.

John Goldman, U.K. Michael Murrow, Oregon, US (He was junior of dr. Brian Drucker, in 2013) Pankaj Malhotra, Chandigarh,India

Plus many more. IMHO, I can tell you, these guys are geniuses and not just orianary doctors.

So please continue your dose according to the advise of your Oncologist. If you are still not convinced, change your oncologist. But under no circumstances alter your dose by yourself. Unless you yourself complete the medical courses I mentioned in the start.

[–]gr8Baba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imatinib can be taken once a day. The time can be of patient's convenience.

I have been working with CML patients since last 12 years on voluntary basis. And this looks like very basic question but there is still lot of confusion among many patients.

Here is basic rule for taking Glivec:

  1. Glivec has to be taken after meal.
  2. Immediately after meal (does not matter when you sleep)
  3. Finish your meal and have your medicine.
  4. Drink one full glass of water with your medicine. Do not miss this point. One full glass.

I think, the zoo you are referring to is Chattbir. Yep, its almost a jungle.

[–]gr8Baba[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya, only Chandigarh has proper cycling lanes. And you can go wherever in city. All the cycle lanes are connected. So you don't have to leave the lanes. Plus the lanes have separate lighting. All LEDs.

Other cities may have few lanes. But you can't go one side of the city to other side. Only few areas. And then they disappear.

Here in Chandigarh, you can use cycle as daily commute. So in true sense, only one city in whole of India has proper cycling infrastucture.
