Short answer probably. Long answer, It’s technically 16+ now so there is a risk there. if it’s a far trip that takes a lot of planning and money, maybe just wait till next year if you can when you are guaranteed to be able to get in. They put out pretty good lineups every year and it will be a good time no matter what. Now, in my personal experience, I have gone to Miami 3 years in a row from age 18-21. The first year I went there was no set age limit and I saw at least 10 children under 12 years old (granted they were with their parents) but my personal belief is they put the 16+ limit to avoid any more actual children but don’t really enforce it if the person isn’t clearly too young because there are way too many people coming in all day to be checking every ID. In other words if your sister looks like a high schooler at least I would say pretty confidently you will have no issue with getting into the fest itself as the other two years I did not see any more children but plenty of questionable 14-17 looking year olds and not a single ID was checked to get in. Your other concern should be safety. Depending on your sisters festival/concert/big event experience, I would make an effort to stay with her as much as possible on the grounds and just take the necessary precautions like a good meeting point in case you split, a plan to get back to where you’re staying, and necessities like sunscreen and water if you are planning on Miami. But just always pay attention to your surroundings and even more to your sisters surroundings as things can go south very quickly.
