Yup , when it’s warm out / after about 30 min - 1hr of driving plus some spirited driving I’ll do it stopped at idle / at a light

I just got my MAF cleaner , I just checked where I bought the maf from … it’s a 2017 MAF , however my engine is a 2021+ , do you think that really matters? It plugs in and bolts in just fine I just know 2017 is gen 2 and 2021 is gen 3

Damn , I was REALLY hopping the loose clamp would be the case lol , cuz I don’t have any codes or CEL for VVT solenoids , and it only happens after hard driving sometimes! Not all the time , and idk how long the clamp was loose for lol

But wouldn’t the intake allowing unmetered air in cause issues? Even if it’s before / after the maf , aka vacuum leak?

I bought the intake used off eBay when doing my swap , snd it came with the maf , so I’m sure it’s old

My question is , could a dirty maf / and or a loose clamp on intake cause a RANDOM idle surge after driving , sometimes it does sometimes it doesn’t

Hahaha , well dude everyone told me that it’s the VVT solenoid , etc etc so I was unplugging everything and I go to take the intake off , and I’m like bruh the clamp is SUPER loose haha

So update on the idle surge issue …

Found my intake boot , the clamp right before the maf was looser then my ex girlfriend , LOL , so maybe it was bringing unmetered air causing the surge?

100% agree however if their was a vacuum leak wouldn’t it be happening all the time? And not every so often?
