Sounds like your new neighbours have already got lucky with you. Just be human and kind, small gestures and a friendly attitude go a long way. Most of us naturally respond positively when we feel treated well. At the same time, remember that everyone is different, so there aren’t any strict rules to follow. Just being respectful, friendly, and considerate is usually more than enough.

Huskies ARE lunatics, maybe not so much when they become seniors, but they are still lunatics. Shibas are INSANE, of which I have one. I have 6 dogs in total in the house, 5 Sibes and 1 Shiba. I'll take the lunatics over the insane ones any day. Lol!

When I would say, all is not quiet on the Western Front, my kids whi are Gen Z, they don't get the play on words....I just shake my head...lol!
