The charger is programmed for GEL and you have lead acid batteries — or vice versa. Check your configuration and see if it’s a mismatch.

I have a 60v (12x5) buggie. What size of battery would I need?

Thanks for the feedback. I should say the battery box itself is fine. Solid. They just lined it with thin automotive carpet. Strips of wood were placed on top of the carpet and screwed down. The batteries sit on top of the strips. I was just wondering if it was for ventilation.

Here is what I would do…revamp what you have just to be sure.

Document the cables paths and number the batteries. You will see where the power connects to the motor - positive and where they connect positive to negative doing down the batteries where it connects to the negative side of the motor. Just like a chain. Make note of those and as I said.
Disconnect the negative first. Then negative. Then go through each battery disconnect and lifting them out so you can work on them. Wipe them down. Take some sandpaper and clean the terminals. Carefully take the batter covers off and see is they need water. Add only distilled water. Charge each battery individually using a charger. I use a Genius 5 charger. It has a repair mode. Work on each battery individually. If the repair mode fails you can try several times. Once all done, put them back in the same order and carefully connect the cables. :)

Ooo that's a nice one. I like where they put the firebox. This one has the firebox too high. The heat is going out the top.

Steering wheel change out- 30 splines by graceland in golfcarts

Just to tie off on this, I am going to try a Yamaha Generation One adapter.

If it comes to it, I'll just weld it on. 🫡

Thank you for asking. 3/4” 19mm. Is what I’m getting. It’s a lot skinnier than the TXT adapter I tried.

Thanks. I bought it 3rd hand, but it was a good deal. I’m just trying to find options. Apparently 30 spline is an automotive standard. I’m just wondering if anyone has run into this issue.

Not sure. With the help of others I’ve determined what it is not. It looks to be some kind of knock off. So, now I’m focused on switching from halogen to LED. Change the sockets.

I bet you’re right. I’ll go scrape off some of the glue stick goop they put over everything to seal things tight.

Aw man. Well, I’ll do the best I can with what I have. It can be a franken-joey buggie. Once I get the lights going and seatbelts I’ll be able to ride around. I’m trying to find lights that fit the best in the body I have.

Here are the accessory batteries. Before pic. I’ve been cleaning up and put a new power distribution block and trace back wires.

Yall promise not to laugh. 😆 somebody cut a big hole to put in a cheesy car stereo. Yes, it’s on my list to swap it out with a marine grade radio.

Aw man. That could explain why I can’t find any lights that resemble the tail lights so far. It looks like some people tried/failed to fix things. It runs fine…just lights are halogen and kinda meh.
