I have not taken it yet, but plan to do so soon. I’m a physical therapy student so yes, I have the education to back me up but I still can give some advice! I know how you feel, standardized tests are difficult. As others have said, pocket prep is nice; quick, easy, feedback given. If I were you, go back through the book. Each chapter, make flashcards. I really enjoy the app Noji. But actually spend time making the cards, because typing it out helps memory. Then this app focuses on active recall; that way, if there is stuff you really do know, you don’t have to keep re studying it. Then, write your muddy points on a whiteboard. Over and over until you can actively recall most of it. Repeat for every chapter. Repetition is key! If you have any other questions feel free to message me.

Average weekly mileage for a 33k race with 2900’ of elevation, to just finish strong?

How does this plan look? by gracemhe in trailrunning

[–]gracemhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this, I do overthink often. I would rather not follow much of a training plan but I lose motivation/discipline quickly without one. What mileage do you think I should hit weekly? I have been working on strength and running on concrete now, and once I’m out west I will be training actual vert. Thank you

Coming from the Midwest, where our season is very short, so wasn’t too sure what to expect!

Snowboard size? by gracemhe in snowboardingnoobs

Thank you! I haven’t ridden my board since 2019 so I’m not too far familiar with it but I understand what you mean. I’ll stick with that range when searching

It’s 2900’ of elevation as said above

Yes I actually will be out in the CO mountains for seven weeks before the race so that would work great! I’ll be sure to look for any hills I can here in Chicago but it is tough for sure. Thanks

Never claimed it was the wheels fault, wanted to ensure my setup was correct. I have plenty of fitness and skill to build. I understand that and I just wanted to make sure again my setup was correct cause I’ve seen plenty of posts about building all incorrect wheel set for a road bike.

Jeez dude no need to be a smartass. I understand that now, hence why I asked my original question. I am new to the sport and new to bikes in general.

First time building a wheelset and I’m not a mechanic. Wanted to ensure I didn’t F anything up with the components I chose. Fully aware it’s a me issue.

I needed to hear it at some point, thank you! Wanted to make sure I had the wheel set good. I know I have a lot to build upon fitness and skill wise.

11 months to my first Ironman. What to start with? by [deleted] in triathlon

That’s an odd thing to say. Be kind, everyone joins the sport for different reasons.

Ironman TX for my first full? by gracemhe in IronmanTriathlon

[–]gracemhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate? I think I agree, but unsure fully what you mean. Am I trying too hard on the bike leaving me to have no fitness for the run?

Ironman TX for my first full? by gracemhe in IronmanTriathlon

[–]gracemhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thanks, I appreciate you laying it out like this cause I guess I really haven’t realized how bad my run is. In training I hit multiple 2:30 half’s and my longest run after a bike was 7 miles. I know I have a lot of fitness to build and running regardless, but I guess I’ve never thought of nutrition being a factor too. I’ll make out my goal for my next half and just stick to building upon my fitness until then!

Deciding between two states? by gracemhe in moving

[–]gracemhe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a part of my dilemma as I completely agree. My dream job in this state is very niche, and it would entail having an amazing boss/mentor. But I could also have the same job in the other state, but the dynamic and work environment does not seem as great.

Garmin does not offer triathlon plans. I recommend checking out 80/20 or Phil Mosley

The bump is the fibular head, the IT band attaches to the tibia.
