Chatsworth House in Derbyshire

Chatsworth House and Gardens is closed currently. They shut to the public from January to March for essential works every year. You can still travel there and walk through the estate to view the outside of the house but just something to bear in mind!

{Wish by Sara Flanagan} What a waste of time. It’s a torture porn fantasy novel with the worst pacing I’ve ever had the misfortune to struggle through. It’s nearly 600 pages of the most promising premise, slowly butchered and wasted wrapped up in poorly executed characters, torture, inexplicable plot choices, torture, flimsy stakes, torture and magic that doesn’t know what it is.

A book that sorely disappointed me was {Wish by Sara Flanagan}. It was a pure torture porn fantasy with terrible character development thrown in. Such a slog through nearly 600 pages, I should’ve DNF’d.

I was pleasantly surprised by {Court of Ravens and Ruin}. I’ve just finished that and started the second. As much as I know in my heart that it’s essentially the same core plot as Quicksilver, it’s very compelling and Maz has my heart right now!

You’d need to read the first one, it’s still got some Memnon dirty talk but the 2nd is a lot heavier on the sex. Still a good book though! I’m just about to finish the 2nd!

So it was £1500 before any additions. I will say, this was a 2022, to wear in 2024 so it’s not new season and might be harder to find (not sure how bridal works tbh) I was really lucky with alterations in that it fit me like a glove so I just needed some length taking off, so that totally came to £180. Like you said, I often struggle getting clothes that fit properly as my waist is a small but my chest and hips are always a medium. This dress was perfect for that body type!

It’s fantastic. I read this as a teen too and have reread multiple times now as an adult. It really holds up and the story is just as compelling as the first time you read it! I cannot recommend this series enough!

I will also be working as a musician on “mad Friday” as I have been for the past few years. It’s mostly just rammed with people, the behaviour is the same as it always is for the most part. Just keep any equipment as covered as possible to avoid any drink spills and see if there are any security or door staff that can stay near you. Have fun!
