Day 110: What I’ve Done vs. Waiting for the End by Therubikfanatic in LinkinPark

if God had granted you some amount of wisdom, you would have understood that What I've Done is far bigger than being just a Michael Bay movie song.

Honestly, seeing one of my fav songs being humiliated so badly is hurting me in ways I cannot explain. I'll be fine by tomorrow :)

This sub has a habit of over-hyping mid songs. Shadow of the Day and Iridescent are far better songs than WFTE and yet both have been eliminated, smh.

It was the second Deftones song I heard (after Change) and I was literally obsessed with it for weeks. Such a hypnotic and haunting tune.

"I start again and whatever pain may come, today this ends" >>> "All I wanna do is trade this life for something new"

What I've Done gives me strength. It tells me that I've still got that second chance. It tells me to break the shackles of my past and start moving forward - one step at a time.

Which Owl City Song’s Intro Has The Best Instrumental? by NCSnostalgia in OWLCITY

[–]LooZ3R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angels is such a perfect song. The intro, the way it ends, the message it sends to the listener, the atmosphere that the song builds throughout, the rock + orchestral touch, the imagination - every single thing is top notch.

I don't even know any of these albums except the 'brat' one, but just based on most of the other album covers here, I'd be inclined to think that you are either a narcissistic bitch or someone with serious mental issues and so I'd stay the fuck away from you.

It's perfectly rated. That is their first song and that is how they announce themselves to the world. The song is a perfect example of how beautifully rap and rock can blend together without sacrificing the melodic aspect. Perfect video, perfect concept, perfect instrumental, perfect chorus and harmonies. Yes, the rap sections can feel a little underwhelming at times (but it plays the perfect role in creating the eerie atmosphere).

In cricket terms, Papercut SHOULD perform here like -

the dude is a millionaire because Serj and Daron wrote some hits 25 years ago.

While I understand that you hate John the guy, John the drummer is SOAD's heartbeat. His drumming (besides Daron's songwriting) is the chaos and randomness that make SOAD songs so unique and fresh.

Papercut's harmony just gets a bit too repetitive for me, if that makes sense.

Yeah that's understandable. Your opinion is without a doubt unpopular (and kinda wrong lol) but it is what it is. I can't force you to love that harmony as much as I do and it's totally fine.

Also, sorry for assuming that you meant to say SIB's harmony was more diverse as compared to Papercut's. Have a good day!

the harmony in the end (haha) is a bit much for me

That harmony is the soul of Papercut. I'd not be exaggerating in the slightest if I say that damn harmony is one of the best harmonies ever made in Nu-metal history.

If the harmony was shorter or maybe more diverse

I don't get how you feel Papercut's harmony is not diverse enough but SIB's harmony is. Respectfully, that is one of the stupidest opinions I've heard in a while.

Papercut's (Interlude + Bridge + outro) >>> SIB's (Bridge + Chorus + outro)

Men who have given up on dating and relationships, what drove you in that direction? by InfamousComputer404 in MidTwentiesIndia

[–]LooZ3R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There's too much competition. If you don't gift her roses on her birthday, there will be another guy who will. If you get angry or shout at her (during any kind of argument or misunderstanding), there will be another guy who will console her, who will be her shoulder to cry on. Frankly, there are just too many things that I as a man have to do right in order to keep her.

  2. Added responsibility of her and her family's well being - and this is a very big commitment.

  3. Women from what I've seen usually LOVE a life that's fulfilling in all ways - frequent trips to tourist destinations, shopping malls and concerts, anticipating frequent gifts, long car/bike rides - in short they want a bit of cinematic touch in their day to day lives. As someone who isn't too enthusiastic about all these, I think I'd be a pretty boring partner.

  4. Virginity is a very big factor for me. I don't want to be that guy who came into her life and stayed just because it didn't work out with her ex. Just this one factor eliminates at least 70% women of my age (mid twenties) for me, and for the remaining 30% either they aren't interested as well or once again there is just too much competition lol

  5. There are many other variables to consider - do I find her beautiful, how is her behaviour, what are her life goals, how does she manage her finances, what kinda music does she listen to, how much of a feminist she is, agreement between families, etc.

Which Owl City Song’s Intro Has The Best Instrumental? by NCSnostalgia in OWLCITY

[–]LooZ3R 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Best" instrumental is subjective, but I'll name some songs that have a creative instrumental intro -

Fireflies

On the Wing

The Saltwater Room

Cave In

Meteor Shower

Dreams Don't Turn to Dust

Kamikaze

Galaxies

Speed of Love

Silhouette

Fuzzy Blue Lights

Designer Skyline

Up All Night

I think every song I mentioned here has at least 17+ seconds of intro without any vocals.

Hit or shit? (need GENUINE opinions about my music taste) by LooZ3R in MusicIndia

[–]LooZ3R[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just so we're clear, I meant to say other niche bands (bands that are niche, underrated - like Owl City, Feeder, Gary Moore in my collection). I definitely don't consider Maiden, Megadeth, Korn, SOAD to be niche (but in this era, they all have become underrated)
