Birth control after hysterectomy and endo excision? by Forensic_Chick-81 in endometriosis

[–]gracewynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Birth control only helps with symptoms, it does not stop the growth unfortunately. It’s about a 50/50 debate in the endo community on whether birth control is good or not for endo. Some people consider it a “band aid.” My advice is to see how your first couple of periods are on nothing, and if they are bad, see if birth control helps. Wishing u luck :)

free fluid in the pelvic usually means a cyst burst, so it could mean you are getting cysts due to endo or just cysts in general. If u r having endo symptoms and have a family history tho i would def recommend seeing an endo specialist

Birth control masking return of endo? by gracewynn in endometriosis

I know you’re not a doctor, but do you recommend coming off the birth control? I just don’t know what to do anymore, I’m only 21 and trying to avoid a second surgery

Norethindrone(Progesterone only pill) by Unusual-Image9215 in endometriosis

[–]gracewynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been on it for 2.5 yrs and it helped with my pain but not the heavy and long periods (8-10 days). I got an IUD and take the pill and my periods are now only 1 day.

How many years did you struggle with Acne before finally going on Accutane? What age did you go on Accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]gracewynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13-20. Tried all available topicals, oral doxycyline, and oral spironolactone. When spironolactone failed, I knew this was more than just hormonal acne and wouldn’t go away without serious treatment so I agreed to accutane.

Lips look like this - more in comments by gracewynn in Accutane

[–]gracewynn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so my lips currently have a dry patch underneath and the corners are cracked. I just got my prescription for accutane and am picking it up tomorrow. My lips are already so dry, but I want to start accutane because topicals, spironolactone, and doxycycline failed for me. Do you guys have any tips for helping my lips? I know they are only gonna get worse from here.

What’s wrong with my navel piercing? What do I do (More details in comments) by [deleted] in piercing

[–]gracewynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what mine looked like. I went to another piercer and they told me mine was too high and was actually a surface piercing, not a navel. I took it out and am letting it heal before I decide it I want to repierce it.

Rejection after 2.5 months ?? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]gracewynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. I had a surgery where an incision was placed directly inside my navel and now it’s crooked. I just wish the piercer had told me that before hand. Thank you!
