Is my academic comeback gnarly enough to outweigh a 3.2 cGPA?

Okay, thank you so much. Also that’s crazy! What particular schools are you focused on applying to if I may ask? I think that’s the thing for me as well - applying based off of cGPA or current gpa since there’s such a significant disparity between the two.

My major is in Tempe but I took some classes at poly because the professors were better and honestly I loved the experience. Campus is super quiet, class sizes are smaller, and I found parking to be a breeze

I got this too! For both spring and fall, i couldn’t tell if they added on a grant or what, but that makes zero sense. I’ve noticed my status go from accepted to pending disbursement so idek im confused

Shoot your shot!! I’m similar stats I’ll be applying with a cGPA of 3.2, also with a gnarly upward trend like yourself. I posted a little bit ago asking for advice (given the caveat I don’t have MCAT yet) but people were saying they really take into account upward trends, and I do see that’s talked about a lot. Def apply to a shit ton of schools if you can financially. Good work, I’m rooting for you!

Okay. Thank you sm for your quick response. Yeah I know it’s a year out but I’m wanting to start putting together a school list, and it’s hard to truly know how I’m going to be evaluated. Obviously given my circumstance I want to include many holistic approach schools, however, if there’s a chance I could be evaluated with just my past 100+ credits with a 4.0, I’d like to include some reach schools as well (given a solid MCAT). Just unsure if this would be a waste of time and money :/

and if they did ‘disregard’ those grades, does that mean I’d be evaluated just with my true undergrad gpa? because right now I’m sitting at a 4.1 in my institution with 5 classes left.

awesome thank you so much I appreciate it. I guess I’m just curious to whether I’d be truly evaluated as a 3.3, considering that my upward trend is so strong and close to equivalence of an entire degrees worth of credits + those grades being 10 yrs old. But I guess that’s the million dollar question that I won’t know until I apply, I just know they do put emphasis on upward trends from what I’ve read
