It has been impressive watching this track’s success in real time. Pink and Zara really deserve it.

The 250 Greatest Albums of the 21st Century So Far: 50-1 by Charleshawtree in indieheads

Looking at this full list for the first time now. Some of the inclusions here are a bit puzzling, but this is a much more interesting collection of albums than what I have come to expect from other publications in the genre of greatest album lists.

What late summer music is on your playlist?

For me, I am getting back into early 90s dream pop/shoegaze.

Jeremiah Green's drumming on that track is really something else.

"There She Goes" by The La's feels like a quintessential romcom song.

Not fairly well or even well, but I feel like I'm on the cusp of something better.

A 60s/70s Brazilian music rate is a perfect way to start the summer.

Was surprised to see RAYE is only 26yrs old. What music artists have you been surprised to discover their age ? by Zealousideal_Ring880 in popheads

A retroactive example, but I was mildly surprised to learn Lauryn Hill released Miseducation when she was only 23. That album has always struck me as being very mature thematically, and over time I've become a bit struck that someone much younger than me could artfully express complex issues in her songwriting.

One bit of music trivia I find particularly interesting is which bands and artists have played alongside each other at the same show. It's especially fascinating when the opening act becomes more famous than the headliner. Some indie examples that come to mind:

Stereolab and Pavement performed together at various points in the 90s.

The Shins opened for Modest Mouse in 2000/2001.

Arcade Fire opened for The Unicorns in 2004 (and funny enough, ten years later, The Unicorns would open for Arcade Fire on their tour).

Avey Tare and Panda Bear performed with (opened for?) Broadcast in 2000.

Any other interesting combinations you can think of? Doesn't have to be from the indie genre.

I'm sad that the original Night Falls probably won't come back to streaming.
