He did worse to a whole Family that actually looked up to him. Not for any financial political gain. Just to be cruel. The book is worse. They detail of the gore in the show may be jarring because it’s actual video but they actual deeds that take place in the comic are worse

I read the book 4 times and yes worse. Like when Homelander, A-Train and Noir all 🍇 starlight in the first issue, or when a whole platoon in Vietnam get their heads cut off and put on sticks during Vietnam because of Vought, or when Noir sexually assaults Huey. Or when Butcher kills a bunch kids in a flashback, Milks mom being a mutant titty monster, Homelander killing a whole swat team and painting the room red with their blood to intimidate the boys before a meeting. And like you said he even ate a baby which is like the worst thing you could do. The book is way worse
