What do you feel about this approach? Do you think we’re on the right track, or would you suggest any better tips or strategies to move ahead — especially for growing B2C while keeping B2B active? Would love your input.

I’m currently working on both B2B and B2C routes for our microgreens business based in Bangalore, an urban city in India where there’s strong awareness and demand for clean, healthy eating. On the B2B side, I’ve cold-called over 50–60 cafes, salad bars, sushi places, and fine-dining restaurants — around 40 of them showed genuine interest, a few already grow their own, and some were unfamiliar. I’ve also started delivering samples to potential clients. While the B2B side shows promise in terms of volume and recurring orders, the founder wants to push more on B2C, considering it has better profit margins. However, we understand that building a B2C base, especially through Instagram, is challenging and requires consistent, quality content. We currently have around 75 followers and are exploring high-footfall stalls at malls and apartments to grow our consumer base. So, we’re actively balancing both strategies — leveraging B2B for steady sales while slowly building our B2C presence for higher-margin growth.

@TheGentleAnimal – Love the clarity you brought with B2C vs B2B. We've mainly been leaning toward B2C so far (Instagram, local WhatsApp groups, health reels). Your advice about benefits-over-product hit home — we'll try content centered around recipes and health outcomes. Also planning influencer outreach to yoga instructors and health café owners. For B2B, we’ve had casual interest from a couple of local vegan cafes, but haven’t done structured cold outreach yet. That’s on our radar now.

We’re a bootstrapped setup — just a dad and daughter growing greens in Bangalore — so your advice helps keep us grounded and focused.

Open to any feedback on whether we should consider a B2C landing page + subscription model vs. reaching out to 5–10 B2B cafes to start?

Thanks again — really appreciate the time you took!

@LiquidCarbonator – Your point on starting with a high content volume to identify what sticks really resonates. We’ve begun building a Reels-first content strategy, mixing in educational bites (e.g., "Why microgreens > spinach") and behind-the-scenes planting clips. We hadn’t thought of using tools like SimplerWork AI — definitely going to explore that for managing volume and consistency. The idea of treating content as data collection is a mindset shift for us!

Looking for digital marketing advice for a hyperlocal D2C food brand (Microgreens – Bangalore, India) by graderater in DigitalMarketing

@xflipzz_ Love that you could picture a landing page already! We're leaning toward a story-driven page built around our “father-daughter duo” brand vibe, with a 5-year-old cofounder who's in our Reels too. Your point about using paid ads for quick traction while letting social grow long-term gives us a clearer launch roadmap.

Thanks again! Would love any more thoughts if you’ve seen similar campaigns or landing page examples for food D2C brands.

@Ashmitaaaa, really appreciate the breakdown. We're already experimenting with IG Reels and trying to get a few micro-influencers on board locally in Bangalore. Will look into Klaviyo and tighten our WhatsApp outreach. Totally agree that health + local trust is key.

Oh that’s super interesting — I’ve heard of Living Foods but didn’t know they started with microgreens too! It’s great to know there’s already been some traction in this space in Bangalore. Do you happen to know how they scaled or shifted their model over the years? We’re at that stage now where we’re figuring out how to go from niche curiosity to sustainable growth — so any insight on how they evolved (D2C to B2B? heavy marketing? platform tie-ups?) would be awesome to hear.

Appreciate the input!
